100 Day Retail Detox Update

I haven't done an update since my mother-in-law came to visit and we went shopping.
I will not lie, I was worried that once I started hitting the shops I would crack.
I am happy to say that I did not.  Instead, I became stylist for my mother-in-law.
Not only was it fun, but it kept all of my attention on clothes for her and not me.
We got her quite a few cute items and added some things to a wish list.
I did have a bit of a heart surge when we were looking at boots.
 :)
On Saturday, I went shopping with a friend and the temptation wasn't too bad.
I tried on some things for fun and helped her as well.
I will truthfully admit that it might get really hard the closer we get to holiday party time!
On Thursday, I hosted a girl's night out at my house.
We were to dress in casual sweatshirt attire.
I wore this fabulous sequin sweatshirt I got on clearance this summer at Banana Republic.
I wish you could see the sequins better!
As you can see I styled this outfit very casually and was comfy and warm all night long.
We had gumbo, wine and great conversation that lasted the evening!

Do you have a favorite sweatshirt?
What do you like to wear it with?

We love your retail detox updates! You seriously have some major willpower. Maybe posting it for all the world to see makes you more accountable? This sweatshirt is fabulous, and who doesn't love some sequins?

Kayla's favorite sweatshirt is an off the shoulder American Eagle sweatshirt and Heather's is an Aeropostle hooded sweatshirt. We usually both wear them with jeans. Heather & Kayla

Well, this is embarrassing. You must have forgot to send me the evite for girls night. It's cool, girl. I understand. Next time. haha.

You look super cozy. I have slippers like that too. I put them on as soon as I get home every night. Warm and toasty.

So, your mother inlaw didn't buy you tons of new clothes? Bummer.

Styling people is fun, right? I just love it.

xoxo,
Tracy

That sounds like an amazing girl's night and a sequin sweater? Yes please! I just thrifted an oversized leopard print sweater that I can't wait to wear. I'm so proud of your retail detox- I think I went a month but then caved at the thrift store this wkd!

What a great way not to shop-stylist for others. I love it!

I used to have great sweatshirts but now they are all sports related.

You are doing awesome with this retail detox! I don't think I'd last 100 minutes...it is hard since I live right on Michigan Avenue! I remember this sweatshirt from BR, it's beautiful and I usually pair these with yoga pants. May need to rethink sweatshirts...

I do love a sweatshirt now and then. My favorite is from Fleet Farm and actually says Fleet Farm across the front.

That is a feat to be proud of. Congrats!

Your party sounds like it was so much fun!
