Bound and Determined To Make It Work!

Last night husband came home from Newport, RI.  While he was there he was emailing me pictures of places we had been.  Back when son1 and son2 were just wee ones we spent some time in Newport.  It is beautiful up there and we had a great time.  Side note: son1 and son2 do not remember ever being there.  So much for exposing your children to different places when they are young.
Anyway, when husband came home last night he gave me a sweatshirt from Newport.  He said he just keep thinking about our time from way back when and thought I would enjoy a sweatshirt from there.  I do love a good, comfy sweatshirt!

Being the kind of person that just has to wear something new immediately, I of course needed to wear it today.  
Dilemma:  how to make a plain sweatshirt somewhat fashionable.  After a couple of insane ideas that would be at the top of the Glamour DON'T section, here is what I came up with...

Pearls dress up anything right?!

Yea, I am hoping the sweatshirt shrinks a little after I wash it, but it is cozy! ~ maybe husband could join me inside said sweatshirt.  Hey, maybe that was his intent all along. :)

No matter if this is high fashion or not, the sentiment behind the sweatshirt is what counts and that is better than any fashion look I could ever create.
