Today my oldest son turns 19. Not only is it crazy for me to think I have a child this old, but it is the first time I have not been with him on his birthday. Weird for me but, he is all, "I'll see you at Thanksgiving, no biggie" I know only other mothers get it! I packed up a big box of birthday goodies and sent it to him at school. Everyone wins that way.
I'm not gonna lie to you, I am hanging out in Sweats today. An upgrade from pajamas in my opinion. Tomorrow I am gonna try for actual clothes. I am pretty sure I have turned the corner on this stomach flu. I know husband and son2 will be so happy. They might be more relieved than me.
My outfit for the day is what I wore during the day last Wednesday. It is not something I would normally put together. I have been seeing so much navy, white and gray in the magazines lately that I thought I would give it a go. I actually really like the way it turned out.
I love the cuff detail of this shirt and on the neckline it is pleated like a tuxedo shirt. I think that plays off the sequins on the gray shirt really well.
I didn't wear a lot of jewelry with this look because of the sequins on the shirt. Just added a bracelet and earrings.
It was cold and rainy this day, so I added the black cord jacket with the faux fur trim on the hood. Have had this jacket forever. So happy to see the faux fur become such a hot detail now.
You may have noticed that you don't see any shoes in these pictures. When I saw the pictures, I realized I hated the shoes I had picked out to go with the outfit. Changed them out, but still weren't thrilled with them.
Would love to know what kind of shoes you would have paired with this outfit!
