You remember paper dolls right? I think my favorite were the vinyl type ones because the clothes would actually stay on the figures. I don't know who invented paper dolls, but I do know that have been around for a very long time. Genius, start us out as little girls learning how to style our clothing.

The idea is that everyone has some article of clothing that they can't figure out how to style, so let someone else style it for you.
I was partnered with Ana
over on Better In Sepia.
She has amazing style and is a wonder with pairing tights with outfits.
My item to be styled was a Loft skirt I got for $13 right before the 30X30. I was at a total loss as to how to style it.
Ana quickly jumped in and came up with an adorable look.
I love the stripes with the floral print.
This skirt has a weird black elastic waist band and I was always struggling with how to cover it up.
DUH!
a wide belt.
As I said, Ana is a master of the tights,
so I wasn't surprised when she threw a pair into my look.
Thank you Ana, for giving me a great look
and
one that I can certainly build on for the spring.
Here is a peek at what I helped Ana put together
Her item was the mustard skirt
for information on what she wore.

I envy you gals who had an early start with paper dolls. Perhaps that's why my fashion-ability is so slow to develop...
I like the mix of prints!
First of all what a cool blog...LOVE the header!! This outfit she chose for you is perfect. The pattern mixing is of course super cute and the tights are making me jealous!!
Congrats to the both of you!!
She did so well picking these pieces and you are wearing them so well! I'm intriqued by the vinyl paperdolls... I never had those but they sound like an ingenious invention! No folding tabs? No falling off clothes? Wait... am I too old to play with paper dolls?!
Super duper cute! xo, Tracy
I love the striped top with the skirt! It's a cool idea to let someone else style an impossible piece for you.
I loved paper dolls! Such a fun idea... it's like going shopping w/ a friend! Hope your week is going well. xo
this is one of my fave looks for you, Brett! Go paperdolls!
I just adore that loft skirt! The stripes are a fun pairing for sure. And the PDP sounds like a lot of fun.
oh my! I love both outfits! I definitely want to sign up for the next Paper Doll day! Thanks for passing on such a fun idea!
