Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Have you been having an awkward week or an awesome week?
Mine has been pretty awesome!
Awkward:
  • Yesterday I finally had to pass by the site of my wreck.  There was just no other way to get where I was headed.  It was kind of surreal!
  • Sitting next to that person on the plane that never ever shuts up!!!  Thankfully he wasn't talking directly to me. (his British accent didn't even make it bearable)
  • Husband talking me into eating Indian food even though I know I don't like it.  Yep, that's right...I still don't like it!
  • The boy in the parking lot that had unfortunate things written all over his car van and his changing clothes in the parking lot. (those that were with me, know what I am talking about!)
  • Knocking over a full glass of water on the table after only being at the restaurant for about 10 minutes.
 Awesome:
  • Getting my new car!!(Honda CRV in sage green)
  • Seeing Amy Poehler filming a shot for Parks & Recreation in front of the American History Museum.
  • Getting bumped to first class on the flight home from DC.
  • Girls Night Out
  • Going to pick up son1 this weekend and then spending some time on the lake.
Trying to get these shots was crazy.
It started pouring rain and the doors and sunroof were open.
My hair started doing that pouf thing that hair does in humidity and
getting a human and a car in one shot is hard!

What kind of car do you drive?

I'm so glad you can clearly see the awesome along with the awkward! Your new car looks awesome. I've been driving my tiny 17 year old honda civic hatchback for the last nine years and i won't give it up until i can find an affordable car with better gas mileage (it gets 35mpg!) Your skirt is so cute! And I thought the story of your husband talking you into trying Indian food again was funny. When my husband and I first started dating sooo long ago, we watched Dumb and Dumber. I didn't think it was funny. So the next week, he made me watch it AGAIN because he wanted to be sure to explain any jokes I didn't get!!! Oh god- it still wasn't funny! Just not my kind of humor I guess! I'm going to stop rambling now... Thanks for visiting my blog!

Wow. That's a Loft skirt? I never would have guessed that, but you wear it well and the stripes just add to the fun it exudes.

Congrats on the new car. Must go see if I can stick my head out of my SUV's sunroof... you know, just for the fun of it.

Hello, thanks for taking the time to visit and comment on my blog.
A new car is so exciting! I drive a Subaru Impretza, although I have to admit that it belongs to my other half, my cars were always rusty old things.
I love this t shirt ( I have a huge soft spot for anything with stripes) and it looks super with the statement necklace.

Oh I love your new car, what a great color! You look so cute popping out the top of it :D Love your adorable skirt and sandals.

I drive a brown neon that I lovingly call the Rollerskate. It's going to die any.day.now.

My cousin's first car was a CRV and she loved that thing-- drove it until it died! This skirt is such a pretty color and I love the big necklace! I'm still driving my 2001 BMW and refuse to give it up. I want it to last me ten more years!

This might be my favorite outfit of yours. I drive a decent car with a big dent on the side. A brick mailbox jumped out of nowhere...awkward.

Wow! Brett, I love your choice! We actually have the same car. Only mine is in Basque Red. I got it last December and it's been amazing driving it everyday. My favorite part is the sunroof! I drive mainly outside the city so my sunroof is always open. I just love to drive and breathe in fresh air. I hope you're having such a great time with your Honda CR-V, like me! Cheers!
