Awkward and Awesome Thursday

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and survived whatever Mother Nature sent your way.

It's time for Awkward and Awesomeness Christmas style...

  • Not buying enough milk to get me through Christmas Day.  Husband ended up going to gas station to purchase milk.  All they had left were individual personal bottles.
  • Forgetting to put a few items in the stockings.  After Christmas gifts can be fun too!
  • Son opening a gift and nothing is inside.  Brother opening his gift and there are two inside.
  • Not reading the directions clearly on a recipe.  Creativity saved the day.
  • Trying to get a decent family photo.
  • Turducken
  • Carolers at your door
  • New clothes under the tree
  • Both sons home
  • Cooking together
Tried a look that didn't necessarily work.
Not sure what is actually off about this outfit,
but it's just not working for me.

Please share some of you awkward and awesome holiday moments in the comment section!

Glad to hear your Christmas was awesome :) Turducken? Turkey and Duck? Please share!

I like this look. Very preppy with the plaid top and cardi.

Brett.....Yes, please share Turducken....is it a new game? LOL...

Surprisingly, I don't have any awkward Christmas moments to share...but I usually have plenty of them on a daily basis.

I did enjoy reading your awkward moments; especially wrapping two gifts in one box!

Having no dessert after dinner. Guest who was going to bring it didn't. Son went to three stores to find one open to get dessert.

Wrapping mistakes are the greatest - I bet your sons faces were priceless haha

And I like this outfit - don't know why you don't think it's working. The only thing I would've done differently would be to cuff the sleeves up, with the plaid over top. But that's just because I hate sleeves lol I always roll them up!

Uh oh, that was awkward with the empty box and double gifted box. Who made that mistake?? The good thing is it made everyone laugh I'm assuming.
I can't think of anything particularly awkward this last week other than having my hubby home due to a lay off. It's good in some ways, annoying in others! ;)

Hi Brett!
Sounds like you had a great Christmas. Great awkward moments! I totally agree with you about trying to get a decent family photo. It's like pulling teeth!

YES, turducken is AMAZING!! This year my father in law made something new - turkey, duck, goose, pork…strange but AMAZING!!!!! We nicknamed it Turgorken. :) I love your button up!!!! xo

wrapping an empty box is pretty darn funny -- and at least the other gift was found soon after!

i don't think i've ever had carolers at my door, so that must have been pretty awesome indeed.

haha - great Christmas edition! I love your plaid shirt. Maybe your flare pants are too much for your tiny self? That's a good problem to have!

Awkward Christmas moment: going through photos of my outfits with my stepdaughter when she says that a particular jeans jacket is way too young for me. AAgghh. She went home with that jacket in her bag. LOL

Awesome moment: my stepdaughter and I laughing our heads off together. That has been quite different in the past.
