How is everyone doing now that real life has started once again?
I have to confess that my household was pretty much a bunch of slugs between Christmas and New Years.
I was fighting off an infection, so I do have a bit of an excuse for being so worthless!
Awkward:
- Husband and I trying to repair the dryer door. We did eventually do it, but the process was not pretty.
- Son2 trying to make a panini sandwich using cornbread. I highly recommend that you NOT try this at home.
- Unable to find that one item you put away to decorate for Christmas.
- How sad your house looks once all the decorations are put away.
- The appearance of the after Christmas food baby! You know what I am talking about.
Awesome:
- Antibiotics
- Lounging in PJ's and reading
- Catching up on TV shows
- Husband's fabulous deal on a leather jacket
- Not having to get up yesterday to get someone off to school. I heard the buses outside and just rolled over and went back to sleep.
I wore this New Year's day to go out shopping.
It was raining and cold and I just wanted to stay warm and dry.
The deals were scarce, except for the husband's find
and
the shops were crowded.
Not a good combo in my mind.
Were you a slug between Christmas and New Year's
or
did you accomplish many things?

My goals were to get a lot accomplished during the holidays, but it just didn't happen. My decorations are finally coming down this weekend though!

Brett you look great. I am a huge fan of grey. Love that gorgeous sweater- it looks so pretty against that pink coat. Awesome boots too!
I found you via Not Dressed as Lamb and I am going to follow you. Like your style. I am 58 and have started my blog in November this year. Love your pink coat and your boots.

Such a great look! Pink looks lovely on you.
I have a 'baby' now too after all that indulging.
Happy New Year!
Quite "sluggy" here! And I also have the food baby to prove it. Grrr.... Love your outfit! Have a great day!
I love these colors...the pink coat is gorgeous...it is sluggy here as well!!
LMBO at the after Christmas food baby!!! Yep, I've definitely got one of those. Your pink coat is so beautiful. I've always been a sucker for pink and gray.
Glad you are feeling better and I wish you and your family the best for 2013! Have a great week.
Toodles,
Clare
I was too busy to be a slug, until after our New Year's Eve party. I had one day of vegging in front of the television and it felt great! Hope you're feeling better! Your outfit is wonderful Brett!

That's such a pretty coat. I was pretty lazy between the holidays, and have no excuses for it!
I was a total slug - it's impossible to get anything done when the kids are home from school! And I'm sad the tree is coming down this weekend, so sad :/ But you look great in pink - that coat is gorgeous!
*making unnecessary note to self about cornbread just in case I ever make anything in my kitchen, which I won't. but still...*
Hello honey! happy new year!
I like your blog, maybe follow each other? Just let me know!
Love your pink/blue color combo - it looks so girly and chic! And I think everyone I know slugged around between Christmas and New Year's Day - guess we all needed it :)

I love the outfit- you look stylish and cozy! Glad you are feeling better- nothing worse than being sick during the holidays!
Brett that coat is luxuriously fabulous and I love it paired with the blue scarf, you look phenomenal! Good that you were able to fend off illness, I sure wasn't! Cornbread panini, noted that it's not a good combo!
you couldn't have picked a better, more stylish rainy day shopping outfit! and congrats to Mr. Silver on scoring the jacket.
Such a gorgeous blue clutch!

I was a big couch potato. Had to watch all the christmas movies I hadn't had time for all December.
Glad you are feeling better!
