Awkward and Awesome Thursday

And it's Thursday again!
Seems like it was just Thursday a day or so ago.
I guess when you are on a mini-vacay, time really does fly!

Awkward:

• Having birds trapped in your garage while you are gone for 6 days and coming home to bird poo everywhere.
• Going fishing and only catching fish that you can't eat.  Luckily others were better at fishing for eatable fish than I was.
• Carefully picking out an outfit for your out of town college reunion and then the weather turns cold and you end up wearing your mother's coat the whole time.  A totally wasted outfit!
• Watching your new dog carefully take a mouthful of food out of his bowl and place it on the floor and then begin to eat it.
• Worrying that you won't recognize people at your reunion and then literally Not recognizing some.

 

 Awesome:

• Seeing old friends you haven't seen in 25+ years.
• Spending 3 days at the lake only doing exactly what you want to do.
• Getting a new family member.  Our rescue dog-JOE.  He is a 2 year old terrier mix. (pics to come soon)
• A real live crawfish boil.  I haven't been to one in years and I was in heaven.
• Eating at old college haunts and the food being as good as you remember it.

 

 Another casual look to try and figure out how to outsmart the changing weather.

I think button ups are my go to look and if you throw on a scarf and cardi,

 you can't go wrong.
