By George! I think I finally got it!

I have been trying to figure out the belted scarf look forever.  I just wasn't able to pull it off in my opinion.  Frankly, I looked like I had decorative ace bandages across my boobs.  It has not been a pretty site.  I cannot tell you how many times I had this great image in my head of how this look was going to be fabulous only to look in the mirror and cringe.

I came across an ad in a magazine the other day and thought... ah ha!  I can pull that off (I think).  It is just a small picture in a large ad for the
Land's End Canvas Collection.

I figure, I have similar pieces to what she is wearing, if I copy the exact same thing, why wouldn't it work right??

Here is my attempt.....

 I actually pulled it off!
I may never wear a belted scarf except for when I wear this outfit, but I can say I conquered the look!  My box is checked and I can move on to the next fashion trend.

LOL, the bottom of my French Braid is coming out.  I had it tucked up into the nape of my neck.

Also, love the recipes posted on your SND website!

Great job with the belted scarf. I want to be like you when I grow up!

Success! I actually like your version BETTER than the ad's! It's a beautiful scarf and fine belt. One detail about the ad though is that one end of the scarf is over the jacket and another under the jacket, which would add some visual interest.

My hair is just about long enough to pull off a French braid.

I've always been wary of this; it looks like it would drive me crazy all day long but it looks so good on you, I'm going to give it a try! Paula
