Come and join my Pity Party, won't you?!

Haven't we all had those days where you just look in the mirror and think... who the heck is that staring back at me?
I am pretty sure that mostly occurs when mother nature delivers her "gift" of the month!
Well, she was having her way with me yesterday morning!  First, there was the break out on my face (couldn't tell you the last time that occurred), then there was the lovely bloatiness, that lead to the pants fitting tightly, that lead to the omg, I am such a fat cow, that lead to the thinking every picture I took looked like a hideous exaggerated form of myself.  Lest we forget the boobies that seemed 5 times bigger than normal.  Thankfully, I figured out I had my camera tilted upward which totally enhanced the girls.
Of course to top it all off, son1 still hadn't decided how or when he was coming home for Thanksgiving break. Code for... I will probably find out at the last minute that I need to come and get him.  :)

Thankfully my party is now over and it didn't last too long. I think we all deserve to have a little meltdown every now and then.  You know ~ just to clear our minds and re-group.

Here is what I wore to my pity party yesterday morning...

I know, I actually wore a necklace with a sweater that already had a tie on it.  I guess since it was a tie and not a bow I felt like it wasn't too much.  Or I could have been so self absorbed that I didn't really notice the sweater had a tie on it!
Hey, at least I was having a decent hair day!
I love the brown grosgrain edging on the pockets of these pants.

Thanks for joining my pity
party and know that I will be happy to come to yours anytime!

You look beautiful. I don't know why us girls can be so hard on ourselves. Men just let the belly hang over their pants and don't give it a second thought! I love those shoes! I'm now following... thanks for stopping by Inspired Design. xo

You are cracking me up! Yes, I feel like that monthly too. Have to give myself a pep talk sometimes. :) Oh, and I love what you said about the boobies....mine are normally small but that time of the month they feel like someone elses boobs attached to my chest. My thoughts always turn to...I'm 40+ and enough is enough of this monthly thing.

You look fabulous!

You look much better than your pity party was letting you believe. I used to doctor that state of mind with an entire bag of Oreos at one setting. :)

Thanks for all your kind comments
I don't know why that time of the month messes with us so much.
Debby, your comment was the best...men just let their belly hang over their pants. LOL
So true.

Terri, I have eaten my fair share of Oreos trying to cure what ails me too.
