We didn't care, just moved the conversation out into the parking lot. If it hadn't been cold and rainy I am sure we could have stayed out there much longer.
It was sad to end our visit, but I am truly thankful to have friends like these in my life!
So what do you wear to an unexpected meeting with a friend you haven't seen in awhile. Well, I did an outfit re-mix.
I took my favorite Target dress and changed the entire look. I know for a long time people said, "you shouldn't mix brown and black". I LOVE brown and black together and thankfully somewhere, some fashion person decided it was cool to do it too.
I belted the dress, added brown boots and brownish tone jewelry. I will have to admit that I really couldn't ever figure out if the tights I had on were gray or brown. I figure either way it worked.
It was cold and wet outside, so I added the brown suede duster coat. At first I was afraid it would be too much for the look, but I really like how the effect turned out.

Great outfit. This dress really fits you. It's nice when you meet with friends you love even if it's not so often, especially when it's not so often.
I love that dress and I'd wear the heck out of it! I happened to wear grey, black and brown today and thought it really worked. Mixing grey and black is pretty classic, but adding in the brown takes it to another level of interest. In a way, it kind of "deformalizes" the outfit. Love it.
Thanks for the compliment Angie!
I totally agree about friends
Love your comments Monica.
Am going to put this color combo together more in the future.
