Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important.

Well, it is time to go through the closet and put the cool weather clothes within reach and the warm weather clothes out of reach.  Every season when I do this, I feel excited and disappointed at the same time.  You come across that beloved sweater or the dress that makes you look fab and you are so happy to have them back in your wardrobe.  Yet, you also become sad because you thought you not only had more clothes than you see, but you thought they were so much cuter when you put them away in the spring!

This all made me decide not to be sad and disappointed but that I can take whatever is in my closet right now and turn it into something fashionable!  My goal... shop my own closet!  Try to put things together that I would never have thought of before.  Mix and match something so crazy that it just might work.  Think outside of the box.

Well, first up isn't something very crazy, but I have never put these two items together before and I have owned both for a very long time.
The shirt is about 8 years old and the vest is about 10 years old.  I have worn them both separately many times, but decided to give it a try by putting them together.  I think it worked.  I like the hardness of the black vest and jeans with the softness of the floral print and ruffles.  What do you think?
I used harder pieces of jewelry for effect and thought the shoes tied it all together.
I think my first shopping experience inside my closet was a success even if I do say so myself.
green floral top-Steinmart-$?
black vest-Gap-$?
black jeans-Old Navy-$24.99
necklace-Charlotte Russe-$12.00
shoes-Nine West Store-$45-Nine West
