Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Today is Dec. 1 and we finally got some winter weather here.
Not only was it cold, it was wiiinnddyy!
I actually had to pull out a winter coat.
I can't say how long that baby will be out of the closet, but for now it is a necessity for me.

When I went outside to take pictures, I had no idea what the weather was.  I think you can see the look of "I am freezing" on my face.  I don't know how you girls up north take such great photo's in the snow and really freezing temps.  You would probably think today was a nice spring day.

Today I really wanted to wear these velvet pants.  I usually only bring them out of the closet around the holidays for some reason.  I do believe I will have to change my way of thinking.  They are really comfortable and very warm.  Yes, I have just decided that they are now a winter pant, not just a holiday pant!

My Velvet Pants Outfit
I couldn't seem to get my feet into one single picture I took today.
I think I was too focused on just hurrying and getting back inside.
I like the play of the different colors of blue here.

Let me just say that ruffles and wind and taking pictures do not go together.
I can't tell you how many pictures it took to not have the ruffles flying in the air.
There were definitley some for a blooper reel today.
Just for some whimsy I wore my cowboy boots.
Plus the detailing on the boots matched the color on my shirt.
I couldn't resist.

Brett-the ruffles on the blouse are beautiful! And such a lovely color on you.

The day will come that the wind will be your friend. I sometimes use it to my advantage...to convey movement in the clothing.
