Velvet and Lace

Tuesday night proved to be the undoing of son2.  He caught some kind of stomach virus at the processing center or so he says.  He really is sick, but where he picked it up this time of year is anyones guess.
I have been playing nurse and being a sweet and kind mom.  It's easy when the kid is agreeable to everything I say.  You know, teenage boys are at their best when they are sick. (just a little secret between you and me)

Since I am feeling all Florence Nightengale today, I decided to switch things up a bit.  I am trying for a soft romantic look.

I really like the deep red and pink with the gray.  I think the pink and gray soften the red color.

Check out my guest in the picture to the right.  That is Chester, our girl dog.  She is a 10 yr. old Boston Terrier.

I have had that deep red shirt forever.
It is just a fun shirt to pull out, especially at this time of year.  I have worn it with everything.

beautiful over shirt. Are the dots on the velvet shirt transparent? If so, that's even better!

I know this top is great, that's why it has been in my closet so long lol
To answer the question about the polka dots...the are burned out.
Remember when that was a big trend!?
So glad you liked my top as much as I do.
