Sometimes It Just Doesn't Work

I have had this idea in my head about pairing my maxi skirt with my Breton stripe shirt.  It was brilliant and looked amazing in my head.  Honestly, I couldn't wait to wear this outfit.
I go in this morning to put on the outfit, so excited to see how brilliant my idea worked AND... Disaster!
It sooo didn't work and looked terrible, beyond terrible.
So terrible I will not even tell you, because you will think...
really that sounds so cute.
Trust me it wasn't!
Regroup... easy enough, but I was missing color.  I needed some color, especially after my wardrobe malfunction (not in the Janet Jackson way though)
Epiphany........ check it out!
Can you guess where I added color to the outfit???
Ta Da
Another pair of my $1 Target thigh high socks
and
I don't even have to worry about them falling down today.
This outfit is pretty simple, but I really like how it turned out.
If you are asking... no, not even close to what was in my head!
Mostly you can only see the purple part of my sock when I walk,
trust me ~ I asked a friend I saw at the grocery store today.
She probably thinks I am crazy.
She looked at me with glazed eyes when I said the word "Fashion Blog"

I was going to comment about liking the necklace, and then I saw that it was part of the shirt. Fun!

I have days like that but I still post it. This way I can always go back and say never again. LOL. I like the tights so daring of you.

I HATE when that happens! It happened to me just this past weekend. I had the BEST idea for an outfit in my head, and of course, when I went to put it all together on my boday, it didn't work. At all. But, sometimes those mishaps lead to bigger and better things, like in your case! Very cute outfit you've got here, and I love the pop of color with the socks (I have some of those from Target, too. I can't believe them--for just $1! Sweet!).

Hahah you're great- I love those socks they make me smile! :) I love the maxi skirt with the stripes! Also, I just read on your profile that you're a country lover like me! Have you heard Reba's version of "If I were a Boy"? Amazing!

I'm always so thrown when something doesn't work out when anticipated. It's like I can't figure out a plan B!

Hey, thats what full length mirrors are for, right? That skirt looks soooo comfy--is it a knit? Geat look--no frumpy maxi skirt for you! Paula

But the pale pink belt helps too!
