This weekend son1 had an unexpected visit home from school.
I left early this Monday morning to take him back to school.
I promise, you do not need to see the outfit I am wearing for that!!
Instead of an outfit post, I bring you another yummy recipe we made while
at the lake last weekend.
This one is from Denise and it is called
Brie En Croute
Very delish
and sadly we did eat almost the entire thing for
DINNER!
Recipe:
1 sheet of puff pastry
1 round of brie
about a cup of toasted pecans
about 1/2 cup of jelly (strawberry was used here)
spread pastry on cookie sheet and place roasted nuts in middle, spread jelly on top of nuts and place brie round on top of that
flip over and wrap pastry dough all around brie with a tight seal
flip back over and decorate top if desired
use an egg white wash over top of wrapped brie and sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top of that.
Place in 375 degree oven for about 20 min.
should be gooey when you cut into it
Serve with crackers, apple or pear slices
Please do try this wonderful recipe, very easy and people will be soooo impressed!

Oh my that sounds so awesome, I love brie. I love pecans, I love jelly. I love you for sharing this. I will try to make this but I suck at baking hopefully it comes out.

Ohh, no... this was the wrong place to come when my stomach is rumbling with hunger as is. That seems/sounds/looks absolutely delightful! I wish I had a way to whip some up for myself. I guess I'm gonna have to leave the computer lab here and go find myself something to eat! Thanks for sharing it and thanks for coming by my place.
Guess what- I made this dish for a holiday party and it was a hit- I didn't know it had a name until now though! I will definitely be making it again! Love your accents!
