But before I get to that, I have to share some exciting news! Yesterday, I was one of the slides shown in
article about Maxi skirts on
The Huffington Post.
Thanks so much Wendy for including me in your article!
1. How often do you get your hair cut?
- Now that my hair is longer about once every 3-4 months.
- The bangs are much more often and especially if I think I can cut them myself, which I haven't been able to do EVER, so why don't I ever learn that lesson
2. Do you go to the same stylist each time, try someone new, go to the cheap hair cutting chains or live it up in a salon?
- I usually stick with someone for a long time.
- My last stylist I stayed with for 10 years. My new one I have been with for about 5 years
- I don't go to the cheapest or the most expensive. I would say mid-range.
3. Do you color your hair? How often? What’s your natural color?
- I get highlights about every 4 months.
- My natural color is sandy brown
4. The one thing you always do to keep your hair looking great is:
- Heat Protectant
5. What hair trend do you love and wish you could rock?

I always think I can cut my own bangs. And the reality is that I can't EVER cut them correctly. So, I have really got to let that go.
I saw Bridesmaids last night. So much fun and so hilarious. My husband went with me and loved it too. Amazing.
xo,
Tracy
First of all, congrats on your feature! Secondly, I was confused for a minute when I got here because of the new blog design. I really like it! And you still kept some pink in there, so good on you. :)
When I had bangs, I cut my own all the time. And then I cried. Every time. I didn't learn that lesson either, so don't worry.
The Huffington post- that's amazing!!! Don't get me started on my hair issues- I think I need to stick with a stylist like you do! I would also love to try a thick braid- it always looks so effortless!
Cool! I read The Huffington Post every day, so it's great to see you on it.
Big thick braids are tough - and i have really big thick hair and my braids don't look like that.
Congrats on the feature!
I got a bangs tip for Glamour mag.
You section the bangs part off and then twist it all into together.
It's a twisted ponytail except it's just with the bangs length hair.
Hold the twisted section with one hand and snip just the ends of the hank of hair with the other.
Just snip a little bit then untwist and see if you've trimmed enough. Twisting it all together keeps the layering your stylist gives your bangs intact.
You don't color, you just highlight?
Congratulations on the article!! I went to check it out and remember loving the outfit when you posted it to your blog. I love the thick braids too but I'd something I'll have to forever admire on others. Oh well at least hair like ours dries fast! - kat

I love the big braids! I have HUGE thick hair so braiding it always gets it out of my face. Love this!
Isn't it one the funniest movies ever?!
Glad to know I am not the only spastic bang cutter out there
thanks for all the kudos
you know i have to have pink somewhere on this blog!
thanks for kudos
i am getting the feeling that a think braid isn't going to ever happen for
girls like us without major hair extentions. LOL
you are making me feel a lot better
if YOUR hair can't achieve the look, than there must be some trick we don't
know about.
you know I think I remember reading that technique too
hopefully I will remember it next time I start having bang fits!
No, no color on the hair, just hightlights
I hope to keep that way for as long as possible!
lol Kat
there is something to be said for getting your hair to dry quickly!!
Probably a lot of back combing...?
Or maybe you have to have really, really curly hair.
totally jealous of your big thick hair and hope to see you rock'n a
braid soon
