Well, I am back to reality and let me tell you... I came back kicking and screaming!
It was HOT, I am losing my voice and I haven't been this tired since son2 had ear infections when he was a baby and I am having celebrity sighting withdrawal, BUT...
my days at CMA Fan Fest were some of the best I have ever had! If you like country music, I highly recommend taking time off at some point in your life and experiencing it. You will not be disappointed.

I have to say the absolute highlight of my trip was on Friday night. Keith Urban was second to last to perform at LP stadium and midway through his performance he left the stage, went through the crowd and ended up 3 rows in front of me!!
Mr. Keith Urban...3 rows in front of me! |
The entire CMA show was being filmed for a TV special in September. This bit was part of the show. He was on a platform and giving us directions on what to do and then we sang with him. Seriously, Mr. Urban was talking to me! Ha Ha
I will admit I was in total awe and wasn't thinking of anything. I did this teeny tiny video and a couple of pictures from my iphone3, which if you have one, you know the camera is a piece of crap. My real camera was under my seat and I wasn't about to take my eyes off of Keith to grab my camera. :)
I still can't believe the whole experience happened. We got home from the concert around 1:15. We could not go to sleep because of the adrenaline pumping through our veins. Finally at 4:00, sleep over took us.
I woke up the next morning at freak'n 9! I couldn't go back to sleep. I was literally still thinking about the whole experience. LOL
Sitting next to me at the concerts at LP field was a young woman from Connecticut who just loves Keith Urban. She actually left her seat and got even closer and gave him a little hug as he left the area. (total unauthorized hug I might add!) She was over the moon!!! and had just finished telling us a story of how she had "touched his arm" at the last concert of his she went to.
She was my dancing buddy for the concerts and we joked and said she was my "fake" daughter.

I wish I had time to post more pictures and tell you more about it, but I am busy washing the stinkiest (I have never sweated so much in my entire life, it was like a 4 day never ending hot yoga class) clothes I have ever produced in my life to pack for my trip to Destin, Florida. I leave early Wednesday morning.
I am going to try and post some pictures while at the beach. I should have plenty of much needed down time!
Until then, go pop on a Keith Urban song and imagine begin 3 rows away from him.

I'm glad you had tons of fun. I don't know much about country music, but that concert sounds like a blast.
The good thing about sweating so much- helps to lose weight! (At least that's what I tell myself!) You look great as a cowgirl- very sassy! I love Keith Urban- my boyfriend and I saw him last summer in Ottawa and I even touched his bicep- eeekkk! Yes that was a big moment for me and I am yet to watch that hand...
Sounds like you had an amazing time. You look so happy and gorgeous.
xoxo,
Tracy
You are too cute, Brett. So glad you had a good time. xo
Cute! Glad you had a good time. I didn't know we could "adopt" people at events like this! :)
