Today I am featuring one of a duo. I will be featuring the other part of this dynamic duo next month.
Today I'd like you to meet Joy from Southern Comfort. Her blog is one of the first ones I began reading when I first started my blog. I felt an immediate connection to her and Lise Marie. They are true southern girls and since we are a dying breed we need to stick together!
Joy is a 40 year old wife and mother of 2. She is an insurance agent with lots of style. Joy loves to read and hang out with her kids and her bestie, Lise. She loves to thrift and it has positively ruined her for regular shopping.
Here is what Joy had to say when answering the the Blogger Darling questions:
1.Favorite color of socks to wear? Red, of course!! Seriously, I love all socks. I love socks with patterns and designs. I have socks with penguins, palm trees, flamingos.
2.What reality tv show would you want to be on? None. I positively hate reality shows. I think they've been the downfall of good, quality tv. No one bothers to come up with good tv shows because it's much easier, and cheaper, to do a reality show. I do watch American Idol some but I wouldn't want to be on it.
3.What is your favorite daily thing to wear? Earrings and lipstick, honey! A good Southern girl never leaves the house without her lipstick and earrings. I feel naked without them.
4.Who do you think is the best dressed man in Hollywood? George Clooney. I don't care if he's playing basketball or walking the red carpet, he always looks fabulous.
5.Who do you think is the worst dressed woman in Hollywood? My first reaction was to say Helena Bonham Carter, but really, I think I have to admire her for sticking with her own eclectic style. Misha Barton comes to mind. She's usually just a hot mess.
6.How do you organize your closet? color, type of clothing etc HA! My husband laughed at this. My closet is so messy. I try to organize it, but it doesn't stay that way. Theoretically, it's separated by tanks, tees, sweaters and by color in each category. It stays that way about a month and then gets jumbled up again.
7.If you could dress like any tv character, who would it be? Hmm...that's tough. I don't know. I think Kyra Sedgwick dresses fabulous as Brenda Lee Johnson on The Closer. And I'd love to have the money to wear the Manolos that the Sex and the City girls wear.
8.What is your favorite accessories excluding shoes? Again, earrings. And scarves. They are a simple way to add a little extra something to an outfit.
9.Is there any outfit that you have EVER worn that still haunts you to this day? Probably, but I have chosen to forget it!! LOL
10.What celebrity/fashion icon would you want to take with you on a shopping spree? Coco Chanel. I just think she's classic and timeless. Or, you know, Kathy Griffin because she'd be fun and we could snark and make fun of everyone around us! LOL

Hi Joy! So glad to see you here today. Your answers are great. A girl must have lipstick and earrings...I'd have to add mascara to that.
I'll be watching The Closer with ya tonight!! Oh, do you remember when the show first started and the characters would talk behind her back about the way she dressed? I've always loved her style.

ps. That little red dress you like is from H&M, it's super cheap, and I got it recently. So go get one! : )
Sadly the closest H&M is 3 hrs away or I would be scoping out that dress!
