Everybody, Everywear:Yellow

Yellow | Everybody, Everywear

I almost didn't do EBEW this month when I heard the challenge was the color yellow.  As you may or may not know I have an aversion to the color.  I thought about it some more and decided these challenges are made so we can think outside the box, so I decided to give it a whirl.
My first challenge was to find something yellow to wear.
I knew that son1 had a yellowish shirt so I headed up to his room.
I cracked open his closet door and immediately slammed the door shut.
Dude apparently still thinks he is living in a dorm room.
Then I went to my t-shirt drawer thinking I could at least find a t-shirt with a yellow something or other on it.
Low and behold this little shirt was in the corner of the drawer wadded up in a ball.
I think I had gotten it for something that had to do with one of the boys sports teams at one time.

I decided to layer the yellow t over the blue t to try and cut the power of the yellow.
Navy shorts and some light blue accessories and I was ready to face the world while wearing the color yellow.
Why do you hate the color yellow so much Brett?
You might be asking yourself that question right now.
In my life before kids, I was a nurse and in nursing school I had to wear a yellow and white pinstripe uniform everyday.
That is where the hatred began and for some reason it has stayed with me all these years later.

Is there a color that you won't wear or have an aversion to?

I like yellow. It's a happy color and looks great paired with gray..or blue...or black.  My aversion is the shade of rose that is too similar to my skin.  Makes me look sick.

I think its time to put your issues with yellow behind...forgive it for the past and move forward...because you look really great in it!!  But I guess I understand...I never wear baby blue!!

I bet you looked so cute in your yellow/white pinstriped uniform. I hate the color celery green. It's the WORST color. I actually can't believe how much of that hideous color I find in clients closets. PURGE!! haha

I look great in whatever you wear. I like the layered tee shirt look. Cool bracelets too!
The only yellow I like is butter yellow. Come to think of it, maybe that is because I like butter!

Yellow looks so good on you that you should re-consider your aversion to it.

There's one color I refuse to wear and even hate on other people -- brown.  Yuck!

I don't like to wear yellow either, but it is because it isn't a super flattering color for me.  It looks nice on you!

Ha cute in a yellow and white uniform, no one looked cute in that thing!
I know what you mean about the celery green color. I hate to admit I might
have a shirt or two in that color, but I couldn't tell you the last time I
wore them.

The picture of you sitting on the steps is one of the best that I have seen of you. Very nice.
