It's time for Awkward and Awesome Thursday, so let's get to it...
Awkward:
- Eating an apple while straightening the house, then putting down the half eaten apple and not being able to find it. (it was recovered by the end of the day)
- Getting yelled at by a 24 year old guidance counselor at son2's school.
- Getting called to board an earlier flight home as a stand-by because a couple didn't show up for flight. Couple shows up just as we are handing our boarding passes to the airline dude.
- Excited to receive my first pair of JBrand Jeans in the mail, opening up package and discovering they sent the wrong size!
- Thawing out a turkey breast for dinner only to discover it was still frozen when I went to prepare it. (Thank goodness there were left-overs in the fridge.)
- My little brother got engaged over the weekend!
- I was able to score a dress, blouse and picture frame from the elusive Missoni for Target collection.
- Workers in the neighborhood plugging in a microwave across the yard and sitting around it for lunch.
- Starting my Bible Study group back up for the fall. I have been apart of this group of awesome women for 14 years!
- Advancing to some strength exercises in Physical Therapy. Recovery from elbow injury is in sight!
A little monochromatic dressing with a pop of color.
These are the days when it is the hardest to dress.
Cool in the mornings and blazing hot by the afternoons.
Layers are the key!
How do you cope with the extreme temperature changes this time of year?
Do you just say, to heck with it, it's fall and dress in your fall clothes no matter the temp?
Or
Do you say, I am wearing sundresses and shorts as long as I can?

Your pink pants are super cute.
I always love your Awkward and Awesome posts! I was surprised to see the guys working on my backyard plug in their own microwave too! I'd never seen that before.
But how much do you love those pants? I want to wear mine every day. They are great for warmer temps because the material feels cool on the skin. Especially when I get a hot flash. Ugh.

Ok so random story... I had my carpets professionally cleaned yesterday. When I got home from work, the carpet guy left a few items he found under the couch on our table. One of those items was a wrinkly OLD apple. What the?! haha I was slightly embarrassed.
I really love your outfit- the colour combination is perfect and have I ever told you what a great body you have!? I laughed out loud visualizing the construction workers sitting around their microwave! Looks like you had an amazing time in New Orleans- I've always wanted to go there!
^^Monster Cakes comment = awesome!
