I promised you in July that I would introduce you to the other half of Southern Comfort. Somehow August just went too quickly, so without further ado, I give you Lise Marie.
Lise Marie is an adopted Southern Belle. Originally from Bloomington, Indiana. Lise Marie was trained all over in the art of hairstyling. She gave up a career travelling and styling hair shows for marriage. Four children later she is getting back into her love of being in the salon. This isn’t a big stretch since her spouse is a stylist and salon owner. Oh, and she still loves to travel!!!! Lise Marie also takes care of her darling mother-in-law that is living with Alzheimer's. Everyday is adventure for her in this arena.
Here are Lise Marie's answers to the Blogger Darling questions:
1.Favorite color of socks to wear?
I hate this question. Now you will all know that I never wear socks. This isn’t surprising since I am rarely seen with shoes on. I love running around barefoot. So there.
2.What reality TV show would you want to be on?
Spend the day with me. I live a reality show. I don’t need to watch one.
3.What is your favorite daily thing to wear?
Earrings and lip-gloss. I don’t go anywhere without lip-gloss!!! And mascara…And a skirt. I love, love, love wearing skirts!!! And anything with fur on it.
4.Who do you think is the best dressed man in Hollywood?
George Clooney. I love the way men dressed in the 40’s. Sigh…..I even love men who can wear a fedora.
5.Who do you think is the worst dressed woman in Hollywood?
Lady Gaga. I give her marks for being inventive and daring, but it is getting old. And what was with the meat outfit??? Or Helena Bonham Carter. She is always unpredictable in such an unfortunate way.
6.How do you organize your closet?
Color, type of clothing etc. All the clothes that I bought, but am hiding so spouse doesn’t know I went shopping go in the back on the bottom. Or in the deep freeze in the garage until I can sneak them inside to the closet. Other than that, its pretty color coded. And also broken down into skirts, pants etc. And a section for dressier and more casual items. And I try to keep seasonal items together in another closet.
7.If you could dress like any TV character, who would it be?
Can I count the Jane Austin shows on PBS? Because that is sooooo me!!! I also love the clothes they wear on “Mad Men”. Tailored, pearls, gloves and….yes….fur!!! There is nothing NOT to love. Banana Republic has a line of Mad Men inspired clothes for men and women right now and I am so in love. Oh, and I could wear ball gowns every day of the rest of my life.
8.What is your favorite accessories excluding shoes?
Jewelry. I don’t care if I am wearing yoga pants and cleaning…I must be wearing jewelry.
9.Is there any outfit that you have EVER worn that still haunts you to this day?
Oh yes. I used to dress like the ladies on Dynasty. Scary. I had this silk, drapey, electric blue dress that had huge shoulder pads!! I wore it to a formal event with silver snakeskin high heels. I know what you are thinking and you are right. I looked that bad. I had silver stockings and amazing earrings. I won an award for make-up. It was the 80’s ladies. Need I say more????
10.What celebrity/fashion icon would you want to take with you on a shopping spree?
Coco Chanel. I just think she's classic and timeless. Or Lady Diana. Is it scary that I am picking dead people??? I think it would be awesome for Rachel Zoe to pick out some outfits for me though. Oh, and I would love the Clothes the Baroness wears in “The Sound of Music”.

It's true! She NEVER has on shoes. Ask her about breaking a glass, in the kitchen, and stepping on it. Sometimes, she has to be reminded to put shoes on when she leaves the house!!
That last pic of her at the Savannah Candy Company scraping praline mix off the beaters is sooo totally her!! LOL
Brett, thank you so much for choosing me as your darling on the blog. I love your blog so this was a fun honor!! And yes, I am licking the beaters. They were pralines...yum!!!!
What a fun interview! I think shopping with Coco Chanel would be a blast too.
