In honor of my friend, Pamela, an ovarian cancer survivor, I wanted to remind everyone that September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.
So, paint your toes TEAL and help me spread awareness.
Go to Teal There Is A Cure and click on "support teal" to see a list of participating salons (offering $20 pedicures). Be sure to check out the calendar of events too!
If you are in the Charlotte area, here are a list of just a few of the events:
9/14 - Ballantyne Village goes teal. Join Teal Toes for a painting party at Ballantyne Nail Spa at 5.30. Then, enjoy Teal Tower, Mix @ 6 and Live Music.
9/22 - Duke Energy Building shines Teal
9/29 - Ballantyne Spa hosts a spa mixer from 6.30-9. (check out the web

Chic on the Cheap
Yea...the comment box worked!! I am going to a Fashion show next weekend which is a fund raiser for Cancer Research. All of the models will be women who are in different stages of cancer. If I wear sandals, I will paint my toes teal!
I love teal! Right now my toes are silver, but they can be teal in spirit ;-)
What a great idea. I love it. I'm going to look around in my area to see if there are any salons participating as well.
Also? I love that I can comment easier now. What did you do to fix it?
