Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Wow! Last Thursday in 2011.
That is kind of hard for me to wrap my mind around, but there you have it....
 Awkward:
  • Waiter walking up to table the exact moment we are discussing not giving him a very good tip.
  • Getting a ridiculously, expensive gift that cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • Husband about to cut into his lunch and looking down to notice the knife has obviously been used before and not by HIM!
  • Friend:  I just got a new pair of boots    Me:  What? You haven't worn them yet?   Friend:  I have to buy some clothes to go with them now.(not really awkward, more like priceless!)
  • Husband saying he wants to go shopping with me and ended up spending most of the time in the middle of the mall sitting in the big leather chair checking email and drinking coffee.
Awesome:
  • Shopping again!!!!!!!!
  • Girls Night Out and laughing harder than I have in a very long time
  • Waking up naturally with NO alarm clocks involved
  • Family cooking together in the kitchen on Christmas Day
  • Finally upgrading my 3G iPhone to a 4G
I actually wore this last week when I went out for some last minute Christmas shopping.
I love all of the caramel and black together
and
the burgundy cords just seemed to add a touch of festivity.
Now it is your turn to tell me what was awkward or awesome about your weekend.

Also,
I am researching cameras right now and would love for you to leave what kind of camera you use in the comment section.
Thanks!

Welcome back to the land of shopping. That sweater is so cute. Boots from target? Wow. Impressed.

You look adorable! I just got a pair of burgundy skinnies and I LOVE them.

My most awkward moment this week was putting in my resignation at work and then having the owner of the company get mad, cuss at me, and some other expletives. That's a new one for me! Heather

Those are target boots! I was like thinking dang I want some Frye boots because they look exqactly like that but I'm sure 2400565 times the price. Hitting up Target tonioght, maybe I'll find a little something as well.

Oooh! More black and brown (well, kind of brown)! I dig it. I love the stripes.

"Waking up naturally with NO alarm clocks involved"

I so miss this. I did this for a while and it's just lovely. Woke up between 8 and 8:15 promptly every day. Now one day it's 4:10 a.m...the next it's 7:45 a.m....and on the weekends it's more like 9 a.m. Where am I going with this? I don't know. I miss not setting an alarm clock.

I'm a Canon girl. I use a Canon Digital Rebel T2i. Not sure if you're into something like that (they're pretty reasonably priced now, but there are a lot of settings to deal with which can be a pain if you don't enjoy the whole photography thing). But Canon anything is highly recommended by this girl!

Did you get an iPhone 4 or 4s? The 4S has an 8 megapixel camera and you don't need a separate camera!!

I love those cords. I have some very similar that I REALLY wanted to wear to work Christmas Eve. BUT they aren't "team colors" so I couldn't! :(

Hahahaha I like your Friend, Me conversation the best! I love every piece in this outfit, although the cords are my favorite. I came so close to getting cranberry jeans during the after Christmas sales but I just couldn't find the perfect fit.

Nothing really awkward has happend to me lately, had a lucky week!

I use a Canon Rebel T1i, but with the lower priced SLRs the lens matters much more than the camera body.

What an odd restaurant you were at, a knife previously used? Ewww! Are you looking into buying a DSLR? I have a long & unresolved story about purchasing a DSLR. I am currently using a point and shoot from Fuji, it is the 300EXR I think it takes wonderful pictures!
