Like A Rhinestone Cowboy

Well, More like
A Sequin Cowgirl!

This was my New Year's Eve outfit.
I knew we weren't going out anywhere,
but I still wanted to feel fun and festive.
I opted for the all white and gold look with a hint of pink in my cashmere scarf.
I added the cowboy boots for a touch of whimsy.
We ended up watching The Help(husband had never seen it), making our own FANCY dinner
and
hanging out with Ryan Seacrest
for a Rockin' New Year's Eve.
We actually had a really good time and it was nice just to spend time at home and chill (as the sons would say)

What did you adorn for New Year's Eve?
Sequins, Lace, Satin or some good old Flannel and Sweats?

sequin sweat shirt-Banana Republic
white cords-J.Crew
cashmere scarf-?
boots-Gianni Bini via Dillards

Love all the sparkle and the boots. I just watched the Help and loved it! I have the book but haven't read it yet.

This is definitely fun and festive! I think you have to wear a little sparkle in New Year's Eve!

We ended up spending the evening at home, my husband playing video games with the kids, and me struggling to get four pictures up on the wall straight, which honestly took HOURS. So exciting, right? ;)

I wore jeans and a Tommy Hilfiger sweater with my steel-toed boots. I was also nursing a cold, so I didn't do much this year other than eat pizza and cuddle with my cat. Stayed up to see American Samoa become the last to enter 2012, which happened at 6 AM Eastern Sunday morning.

And you look great in gold and beige madame. Oui.

Happy 2012!

This is the funnest outfit EVER. Yes, I know that's not a word. But it's true.

My momma and I were going to watch The Help yesterday but instead decided on a bunch of NCIS's we had recorded. How do you like the movie (it must be good, assuming you've seen it more than once)? I'm excited to see it. Emma Stone. Girl crush.

I love that sweatshirt! The sparkle is divine!

I opted for a bit of sparkle on NYE myself, although we stayed home and invited the neighbors over. They came in pjs. NO LIE.

I watched The Help last week while working out on the treadmill. SO GOOD.

You do look festive! I always stay in on New Year's Eve, since I prefer to go out when places aren't as busy.

This outfit is awesome, I once titled a post rhinestone cowgirl! This sound would always cause me to hysterically giggle when I was a kid, I never understood why a cowboy would wear rhinestones...haha!

Yeehaw- I love how you still glitzed it up for a night at home. Everytime I see your cowgirl boots I know I have to get a pair-on my wish list!

Good Morning Brett, I was thrilled to see that we are following each and I look forward to getting to know you in the new year!! I love your location of the photos and your sparkle sweater is so pretty! I once wore that same color combo. and felt so glam. but still casual enough to be at home. Have a great day!
