Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Hello February!
I don't know about where you are, but here it feels more like April!
I am NOT complaining though.
Awkward:
  • Today at DFS(dress for sucess) my client told me I looked like Diane Keaton.  First, I am really hoping she meant a young Diane Keaton. Second, she got it into her head that my name really was Diane.  She called me that the entire appointment.  Once she was calling the name and it took me 3 times of her saying it to realize it was me she was calling.
  • Not only awkward, but the very unfortunate episode of Glee this week that was the Michael Jackson episode.
  • Cracking my head on the back of a very hard, very wooden chair arm.  No bruises, but a nice goose egg!
  • Lady at red light in right turning lane that would not turn.  There must have been 6 cars behind her honking, but she was NOT turning until that light turned green.
  • Realizing one of those stupid electronic devices was still on my dress that I bought last week.  Now, I have to go back to the store and get it taken off and will probably buy something else!  It's a ploy I tell ya!!
Awesome:
  • Having lunch with two friends tomorrow that I haven't seen in such a long time.
  • Having a date day with husband on Saturday, even if we did it riding around in a Scooby Doo van.(you know the Mystery Machine)
  • Movie night with husband and son2.  We actually watched 2 movies and no one complained or fell asleep.(Ides of March and 50/50)
  • Getting a lovely bunch of tulips for my birthday.(yea, stiiiillll milking that)
  • Looking forward to a nice quiet Superbowl party with friends.  I am only watching for the commercials this year, oh and to see my girl Kelly Clarkson rock the National Anthem.
Diane Keaton huh?,
The other girls at DFS and I decided it must have been the glasses and the turtle neck.
That was the first celebrity look a like reference I have had to Diane.
Since it was so warm today I decided to pull this little dress out.
Since I am still obsessing over the color blue, why not put some blue accessories with it.
I wonder if Diane would approve?!

What celebrity do people tell you that you look like?
Mine is usually Tatum O'Neal.

dress-Target
tights-Old Navy
boots-Anne Klein

I can see Diane Keaton. And definitely the younger Diane. You look so cute. Love you in those glasses.

I get a young Ann Margaret. Or Belinda Carlisle, Debra Messing, Julianne Moore. Basically any white woman with red hair.

LOVED both Ides of March and 50/50.

xo,
Tracy

Yes I think you look much more like Tatum than Diane, but Diane is very elegant and spunky, just like you in this outfit! Now that I'm working for DFS I get to see clients 4 days a week-hooray! Only downside is that I'm not suiting them anymore since I'm doing the Program Coordination :( I LOVE the bright blue tights and matching necklace- you are still milking the bday aren't you? ;) Ah well you deserve it!

Pretty dress; great tights.

Yes, there's a resemblance to the young Diane Keaton.

You do look like Diane Keaton in the glasses and turtleneck! I would consider that a real compliment at any age. She is just beautiful and classy in my opinion. I love that dress on you.

Hello Diane! How are you today? HAHA! Brett, there is definitely something about you this whole time that I was thinking she looks like a celeb but I can't put my finger on it. YES! Diane Keaton! Her and I actually have the same birthday, and you do look like the younger version of her, only w/the glasses and the turtleneck. Oh..my Mom takes all of my pictures so you can imagine how tricky today's post was when the 2 of us were dying of laughter taking the outfit pix! HAHAHAHA

I love Diane Keaton, she's a beauty and an awesome actress. Love your blue Kate Spade inspired tights! I have been told I look like Katherine Heigl. In my dreams... maybe if I were 20 years younger, 5 inches taller and airbrushed! ha ha
