Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Another spring like day here in Charlotte,
I am not sure if I like the fact that we had no winter or not.

On to Awkward and Awesome... ( p.s.` my shirt is chartreuse not yellow!)
Awkward:
  • Sitting in my car in my driveway for at least 20 minutes trying to remember how to change the time on the clock in the car.
  • Getting a text message at 6:15 am (if you know me, you know that is waaay tooo early) from husband at the gym saying he forgot his clothes to wear to work and could I please bring them to him asap.
  • Hoping my hairstylist doesn't realize I tried to cut my own bangs and her suddenly saying... Oh My Lord Brett, what did you do to these bangs???
  • Sitting out on my deck soaking up the sunshine and all of a sudden being swarmed by carpenter bees.
  • Taking an order from a client and not getting their phone number or email address!
 Awesome:
  • Son1 coming home last weekend for a brief visit, although I suspect it was all about getting his laundry done and grocery shopping in our home.
  • Shopping spree at Old Navy and everyone in the family got something!
  • Finding my long lost favorite bra in my sock drawer after dumping the entire contents on the floor because I couldn't find the pair of socks I wanted.
  • Barefoot and Blue Jeans!
  • Having a client break out in tears of joy today at Dress For Success.  She said she had never had so many beautiful things that looked so good on her.
I have to give a shout out to Kelley from Threads and Buttons.
Her outfit from Monday inspired my outfit today.

Ready and waiting to hear about your awkward or awesome moments this week.

Every once in a while I'll try to cut my own bangs, and my stylist can always tell!

Haha your awkwards made me giggle- I also did the same with my car clock and I was contemplating cutting my own bangs...maybe not! 6:15 am wakeup call! Now that makes me happy my man doesn't work out! I love the colour and pleating of your skirt paired with the chartreuse-beauty!

P.S. Isn't it so moving when clients break out in tears at DFS? Always makes my eyes water! We had a lady last week who said we should rename the org to "Princess for a Day" because she felt so pampered!

Maybe you can help me change my clock in my car! I forget every time we change the clocks. As a former hairstylist.... yours WILL know you cut your bangs... hee hee. We always know!! xo

I love that skirt. I am in love with pleats.

As for the clock in my car? Right now it's off. When we go back in the fall it will be right. LOL and shamefaced.

Oh, thanks so much for the shout out! You did such an awesome job making this look your own, I LOVE that skirt!

If my husband would have called me at 6:30 AM wanting me to get up, drive anywhere, and bring him anything, I would have gone back to sleep haha!
