Awkward and Awesome Thursday

This Thursday is even more awesome than usual.
Why you ask?
The Hunger Games of course!

Awkward:
  • The first time you go to put on sandals after winter and see how bad your feet really look!
  • In the middle of putting on eyeliner when phone rings, put down eyeliner somewhere after walking over to phone and I still don't know where I put it.
  • Walking out of church and realizing you have one of those stupid white deodorant lines on your shirt.
  • Remember those fabulous pink skinnies I wore last week?  After 2 hours they had stretched out so much I couldn't keep them up.  Luckily I was able to take them back.  Now on the hunt for a new pair.
  • My friend who shall not be named, who got up from our Bible Study to walk into her kitchen and pick up her air soft rifle, then calmly walked outside and started shooting at a woodpecker.
 Awesome:
  • My friend who shall not be named, who got up from our Bible Study to walk into her kitchen and pick up her air soft rifle, then calmly walked outside and started shooting at a woodpecker. (I know, couldn't decide which category this belonged in)
  •  Putting away the flannel sheets and getting out the cotton sheets.  Nothing like slipping under cool, lightweight sheets when the weather turns warm.
  • Planning trip to the Outer Banks for spring break.
  • Volunteering at the Dress For Success Clothing Sale to raise money and clear out old clothes.
  • The Hunger Games-Tonight @ midnight.  Going with some friends, two of which have sons that are extras in the movie.  Can't wait!
Staying on the brights bandwagon I have been on.
I adore this neon pink shirt from the GAP.
Pictures do not convey how bright this shirt really is!

Are you planning on seeing The Hunger Games?
Did you read the books first? ( I read all 3)

neon pink T-GAP
white jeans-Old Navy

When I was in high school, my family was tormented by a tiny woodpecker that kept pecking on the roof at odd hours. It was a very small bird that made a lot of noise. I'm sure my dad would have liked to shoot it!

It's so refreshing that I'm not the only one planning to go all giddy like a school girl over Hunger Games. =) I'm sooooo excited!

You should definintely stay on the brights bandwag for a while. I'm lovin' it!!

I plan on seeing the movie because I like post-apocolyptic films and I want to see if it lives up to all the hype. Enjoy!

Ok your friend is awesome haha! The shirt and the white pants look fantastic together and sorry to hear those pink pants had to go back! I really liked that shade! Haven't read the hunger game book series.

I read a lot of reviews on the Canon and Nikon DSLR models. I ended up with the Canon after really browsing through the pictures of various bloggers who were kind enough to share their photography equipment. I really focused on Asian bloggers to get a feel for how the camera photographed their skintone, particularly 9to5 chic who uses a Nikon and Extra Petite who uses a Canon. Personally, I find Nikon photos to gravitate on the cooler side, and Canon is on the warmer side. Both ladies have fantastic pictures, I just had a preference for the warmer spectrum :) Good luck with your decision!

Friend who shall not be named is definitely in the awesome category. In fact, I think she should be in the extra super awesome category. Because that is most certainly extra super awesome.

Have a fun time at the midnight showing! Cool that you kinda know someone in them!

P.S. I'm not sure about the ex who maybe possibly should become my non-ex again. I don't like to think about it. Makes me kinda sweaty.

P.P.S. My mom is good, thanks for asking! She is seriously a super-healer. The doctors are like, "OMG. We've had 18 year old athletes who have had similar surgeries, and you're healing three times as fast as they are." So that's cool!

Sorry to hear about the pink pants. I HATE when that happens. If you come across some colored pants that don't stretch out, definitely share with us!

I still haven't read The Hunger Games! I'm on the waiting list at the library but I have no idea how far back in line I am. Have fun at the movie!

Our clothing sale is in a couple of weeks but I'll miss it because I'll be in St. Kitts (not that I'm complaining!) I love your accessories and those pants fit you like a glove! Aww poor woodpecker- hope she missed!
