Girl On Fire

If you are a Hunger Games fan, you know where that reference comes from~
I wore this on Thursday, but initially had no intention of wearing it when I went to The Hunger Games that night.
I just really never got a chance to change.
It never even occurred to me that I was wearing this much red and going to that movie,
the reference would be inevitable.
So, in a way,
I guess I was one of those people that dressed up for the movie.
I have been wanting to wear this combination for awhile.
I had a similar outfit pinned to my inspiration board in my closet.
Of course chambray goes with anything and then throw the leopard flats in with all of that red and you can't miss.
I chose dark accessories to ground the brightness of the outfit.

Did you get a chance to see the movie over the weekend?
What did you think?

chambray shirt-Banana Republic
red sweater-Loft
red trousers-Express
leopard flats-Anne Klein
necklace/earrings-Handpicked
bracelet-F21

Can't wait to see this movie. I devoured all three books to my husbands horrified embarrassment. haha. But they were so good. Most of them anyway. I hated bits and pieces of each book but whatevs. Am excited to see them movie and even convinced Ian to go with me.

You look perty. As usual.

You look great! What a nice combo! I did not get to see it this weekend, I plan on going at some point this week/weekend. The husband thought doing taxes was more important, go figure!

I don't get the reference...yet...I hope to see the movie soon! I didn't read the books but am hoping it will all make sense in the theatre. Loved this outfit in your previous post, love it even more now that I can see all the details! Your jewellery is gorgeous and I love the colour of your nails!

Love the title of your post! I did one similar. Great minds think alike. I loved the movie, but thought some scenes were rushed especially towards the end. I thought they could have added another 20 minutes to explain things a little better particularly for those who did not read the books. I thought the casting was great!

I like all the red. I went and saw the movie on Saturday night. I waited a couple of days to avoid the crowds.

I haven't read the books...I think I'll pass on the movie. On the other hand, I haven't read the books Game of Thrones (on TV) is based on, and I like that!

I'm gonna have to go see the movie or read the books cuz I have no clue how your outfit relates to the movie.

You look great in red, too! Is there any colors that you can't wear?

And here I thought I was doing color...

This is fab, seriously. The only thing that maybe possibly might make it even more fab is red heels. I didn't see the movie, but I haven't read the books either. No time!

Love the red on red, and pairing the cropped sweater with the untucked chambray top, very cool!

I agree with your overall assessment of the movie but I would give it more of a 6.5 out of 10. It just wasn't as good as the book!

That is exactly the shirt I have been looking for! You really know how to wear bright bottoms, great idea pairing it with the chambray.

I'm trying to hold off on watching the movie until I read the book, hopefully then I will get the reference.
