Hillbilly Hoedown

On Saturday night our neighborhood had a Hillbilly Hoedown Party.
I wasn't really sure how dressed up people would get, so I played it a bit on the safe side and even ditched the cowboy hat when husband said it was too much.
As you will see... It absolutely wasn't too much!!
I was so excited about the camo solo cup!!
That beats a red solo cup any-day in my book.
As I said, the cowboy hat would not have been over the top at all.
I ended up being called the preppy hillbilly that night.
This was my favorite outfit of the night!
Wish you could have seen her slippers.
The funny thing is that everyone that really dressed up all said they had gone shopping at Walmart that afternoon. Hilarious!!!!!
Me and husband.
I had to talk him into the plaid shirt instead of a polo and shorts.
Seriously, how hillbilly is a polo shirt????
The band that played that night is made up of all neighborhood guys.
They did a great job and were pretty funny too.

Do you like to dress up for theme parties?
Are you an over the top dresser or a stay in the background dresser?

plaid shirt-Old Navy
pink skinnies-GAP
denim jacket-Levi
boots-Gianni Bini

Oh my gosh...I LOVE theme parties!!! My husband and I have a yearly New Year's Eve theme party. We've done so many different themes (disco, 50s, safari, hats, black & white, mardi gras, etc.) Dressing up is one of my favorite things to do :) You did great!

Brett, this is a total crack up! I love when people are confident enough in themselves to dress up like this and just have a good time ;)
