Warming Up To Yellow

Yellow
The color should conjure up images of the sun, baby chicks and lemons.
Not so much for me.
It is just one of those colors I am not fond of, maybe because I don't look very good wearing it or
maybe because I had to wear it everyday while in nursing school.
Whatever the reason, I am trying to change my attitude toward the color~
What better way to start embracing yellow than a cute little sundress with accents of yellow?
Yellow and brown aren't immediately colors that I would throw together, but it totally works.
I added some turquoise and pink to the mix with my jewelry.
I can't just jump on board with the color yellow the first time I put it on can I ?
This might be as far as I venture with my addition of yellow to the wardrobe, but I can at least say I gave it a go!

It there a certain color you are not fond of?
A color you absolutely will not wear?

I think we all have colors we have "Issues" with...but this is a fun way to just pay tribute to the color and not feel like you must wear it all over. Cute dress!

I used to feel that way about citrus colours but now I don't mind them at all. There are a lot of shades of blue that I tend to not wear, blues tend to bring out my yellow undertones.. Love this look, the dress and the cardigan looks great togheter.

Yes, this is a good place to start with yellow...and I'm sure a larger dose of the color would look great on you!

I love yellow, but it took me a long time to warm up to it. This dress is a good way to get into it!

Yellow (and orange) both look awful on me too! I think for people with darker skin they are great colours though. I do however love the accent of yellow on the sundress and all your colourful accessories!

P.S. You crack me up- it;s true I'm not a big pants wearer (and jeans are even more rare!)

I used to hate yellow and green -- now I love it! I generally don't wear it near my face but in shoes or a skirt, it's great.

The dress is adorable and just the right pop of sunny yellow. I can't pull yellow off either. My daughter is brunette and got the most stunning yellow prom gown - she looks beautiful in it!! xo

Love your brown dress, and the accent jewelry is perfect. Those shoes are fantastic, are they new this year?

I can't wear a lot of green, it makes me look sick.

I love this look on you and I love yellow! I've always had a love/hate relationship with brown. It really depends on the day.
