Inspiration Monday

Happy Monday!
I got son1 all moved into his new digs this weekend and I must say the apartment is great and the mountain view is even better.
Now I will be concentrating on getting son2 all packed up.

Today is Inspiration Monday over at Two Birds and our inspiration is Jessica Biel.
For my look I went dark instead of light in color
 and
I put the lace on top instead of the bottom.
I added the necklace for my bling and put on my often worn black wedges.
I should have gotten out an iron as well from looks of the skirt. :)
I am not a big lace girl and this is the only lace garment in my closet.
It is about 5 years old.
I chose the mullet hi-lo skirt because they are so hot right now.  My outfit isn't quite as dressy as Jessica's,
 but then again...
I am not Jessica Biel and husband is not Justin Timberlake!

Do you have a hi-lo skirt?
Are you planning on purchasing one this fall?

Congrats getting Son1 all moved in. Moving is some serious labor!

I love the navy and black mix in this outfit. Not sure how I feel about the hi-low look yet. I do like this skirt though, it's not too over the top. Heather

Great take on Jessica's look! I LOVE your top, what a beautiful piece and is so flattering on you. I do not own a hi-lo skirt but am on the hunt for the perfect one for fall! Congrats on getting the kids ready for school!

I love how you mixed up the look by putting your lace on top, and what a pretty top! I can't believe I still don't have a hi-lo skirt, I think I may have to get one!

I like the lace top. I don't have any high-low skirts right now.

I think this is a great take on Jessica's outfit. The lace top is super pretty and I have those same shoes in brown - gotta love'em! I have a hi-lo skirt that I really love. The shapes are fun and add a little twist to an outfit.

I don't have a hi-low skirt...and I am not sure if I'll purchase one for fall. We'll have to see. Very nice take on the inspiration!

I bought another pair of printed pants this wknd at H&M!

You crack me up. Lace on top works. This ticks me off cuz I have a lacy skirt that is almost exactly like Ms. Biel's but I didn't have time to get a photo let alone wear it. Had my grandkidlettes (see today's post) and time ran away.

Good job Brett! Very cute!
I do have a hi-low skirt...worn once. I'm on the fence about it. I do like them but not so much on me.

Ha! My lace shirt was the only lace item I had in my closet as well! I can really appreciate that you went dark with your inspiration. I like it a lot!

I think your skirt is supposed to be wrinkly, yes? At least that's what I tell myself when I wad mine up to dry, "They're broom skirts!" Well, if they weren't, they are now.

I love you look, and your wedges. I have to admit that I took one look at the inspiration photo and gave up on even attempting it. I have one black lace cocktail dress and one long-sleeved lace shirt. I couldn't even get in the ballpark!
