Awkward:
- This dude that was totally jamming to Jimmy Buffet's Fins in the grocery store parking lot. Dude had the doors open and was singing at the top of his lungs.
- Getting an email asking me to partner with a plus size clothing company because my blog and I were the perfect fit. Yep, I was depressed for 2 days.
- Went over to our rental property to let the plumber in and noticed a sign on the bonus room door that said, DO NOT open, live CATS inside. The renters moved their cats in before they moved in.
- When your eyeliner smudges under your eyes and you don't know it until after you have been around people and look in the rear view mirror and become horrified.
- When you realize the pair of tights you have on has no working elastic left in the waistband. How does this even happen?
Awesome:
- The beautiful cashmere scarf husband brought me back from the Turkish market. It better get cool again soon so I can wear it.
- Getting a free sample of Starbucks Pumpkin Latte while waiting at the deli counter in the grocery store. The timing was perfect I might add.
- Googling the word preppy and two pictures of me popped up on images.
- Jason Aldean's new album, Night Train.
- Dinner Parties
This outfit was inspired by a picture I saw of someone wearing a striped shirt and a leopard cardi.
I decided to flip it and see how that looked.
I added the gunmetal loafers and distressed chino's for a more relaxed look.

I think partnership offers like that are just spam. I have gotten a few from companies who clearly didn't bother to look at my blog.

These pants are too cool. You can wear anything and make it looks stylish.
Ha ha -- I wouldn't take awkward #2 personally -- I'm always getting told I'd be a perfect fit to collaborate with random businesses. "You have a great lingerie blog," one email told me recently.

Love this pattern mixing! That eyeliner thing happens to me all the time and I have no idea how to prevent it... other than being attached to a mirror. I've been trying to just wear some dark shadow instead lately.
Love how you mixed stripes with animal print. To be honest, my whole week was awkward!
