I hope you had a great weekend.
Today's Monday Inspiration from Two Birds is Elizabeth Hurley.
I have to tell you that I was so excited to have an inspiration woman that was close to my age!!
Liz Hurley is a beautiful and has a classic style.
I knew I had the makings of this outfit buried in my closet
and was excited to see what my version would look like.
Obviously my blazer is a "louder" version than Liz's,
but the lines are the same.
I choose a gray turtle neck instead of a v-neck,
but was able to work the leopard print scarf in just fine.
I pulled out my vintage Dooney and Burke and threw on my sunnies to complete the look.
I will confess,
that it was just too cold for sandals around here,
so I did opt for my leopard smoking slippers.
Liz was spotted wearing this look at the airport.
I think I would definitely wear this for flying and probably will the next time I board a plane.
Would you wear something like this to fly in or would you rather something more comfortable?

Morning Brett!
I would. I would wear 'ither your outfit or my outfit. My would be easier to wear since I have it here. hahahaha.
I love your smoking slippers. I want some leopard shoes in some form. I saw some heels at my thrift store last week but they were size 9 and I wear a 6.5. :(
Did you see my post? I am so nervous about it.
I really like the way the scarf is tied. It pulls the whole look together. Everytime you wear this blazer, it makes me want a pink one! Heather
i love this look on you. i love the purple with the leopard and those shoes are great. i usually opt for more comfy on planes...i'd probably do leggings and a big sweater.
You look great in jeans, and I prefer the bright pink of your jacket to Liz's neutrals. I hardly recognise her without white jeans!
It's good to be comfortable on flights but please, no track suits! xxx
Oh, I LOVE your take on the look. The fuchsia blazer is gorgeous, and it is fabulous with the leopard shoes! I don't usually look this fab when I fly :)
I like the blazer. Purple is a great color on you!
That bag is great! I love it!
I so love the color of that blazer!
you did a great job with this look, and i love the leopard loafers with it!
Chic on the Cheap
Winner! Love your take on the outfit!
I would wear something more comfy on the plane. Sweats comes to mind! haha
Thank you so much Brett! I am planning to do more full body pics in the future, like on just Monday's with two birds. I want to feature my thrifty finds. When I first started my blog I wanted to focus on thrift but needed to slim down my body first. I still working at it but feel I am "ok" looking enough now.
your D & B bag is perfect dear brett! i am digging your scarf too. it would depend on how comfortable the outfit actually was, on whether i'd fly in it or not. :)
I'm still bummed that I never got one of those Gap blazers - so cute! And I'm loving your slippers. I love being smart but comfy when I travel - this is perfect.
Great job re-creating. I believe in wearing something stylish and comfy. You never know who you're going to meet at the airport!
i love the blazer you are wearing here! the color is such a bright and bold statement!

Omg I love Elizabeth Hurley's jacket and scarf. You look great. I like the idea of pairing the leopard scarf and shoes with that outfit.
Love how you re-created this look - those leopard flats are awesome!

Personally I don't like to fly in jeans....I feel so restricted in the seat as is and the high altitude always makes me feel fluffy! I love this look and would love to buy a velvet blazer the issue is once you bend your elbows you'll get lines on the arms that don't go away!
I love the term 'smoking slippers', I can just imagine you in a silky robe, glamming it up Audrey Hepburn style! Loving the colour of the blazer paired with leopard. When I travel, I tend to wear maxi dresses because they act as blankets and are so cosy.
The shoes and jacket are a beautiful pair. Have a great time. dawn suitcase vignettes xo
Love your interpretation! haha the first pic is funny... gratuitous cell phone pic ;)
