From Vegas, I am heading to the Grand Canyon for the first time.
I am super excited to go see the "big hole in the ground" as the sons call it.
I am mixing patterns today with my black watch blazer
and
stripe skirt.
and
stripe skirt.
People tend to pair red accessories with this tartan pattern,
but I chose to go rogue and add pink accessories.
The touch of sequins at the collar and pocket add just a bit of glamour to a normally preppy look.

You look really cute! I had to smile when I saw this photo of your outfit because back in the
50's because, stripes and plaids would have been hugely frowned upon, even if the colors went nicely together. Interesting how times have changed. I suffered through a day of LOOKS and frowns from classmates one day when I wore an outfit similar to yours to school and loved it! No one else did! Today's fashions are so wonderful as you can wear anything you like. Long skirts, short skirts, full skirts, slim skirts..it's fantastic! I wasn't a "trend setter" so I watched my fashion much closer after that day.
I love love love this tartan blazer!! Great outfit!!!
