Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Happy hearts and flowers day!
I hope everyone gets a special little something from someone they care about.

Awkward:
  • Hanging up your coat and the entire rack of coats comes crashing down on top of you.
  • Waiter picking up the dirty dishes from the meal and dropping silverware on top of you and not even apologizing for it.
  • Seeing a woman with a tattoo of her face on her own shoulder/arm area.
  • Listening to a "player" at the next table trying to impress his date by telling her he was a chef at the restaurant 32 years ago.
  • The "stomach flu"
 Awesome:
  • The Grand Canyon
  • Las Vegas
  • Losing all the extra weight you gained from the holidays courtesy of the "stomach flu"
  • Meeting son1's girlfriend
  • Valentine's Day
I wore this little dress a couple of weeks ago.
I am feeling much better and am on the upswing, but still wearing sweatshirts and jeans.
I hoping to get my style mojo back very soon.

Do you have anything exciting planned for today?
What is your favorite gift to give for Valentine's Day?

This is an awesome dress! I love the colours, the diagonal lines and the Missoni inspired pattern. So chic!

Have you ever tried wearing it with heels or ankle boots? I would love to see that.

I am sorry you had the flu, but weight loss is always a nice by product :) I lost weight one time due to a virus over Thanksgiving. I am so inspired by your blog. I love the way you dress. I am 42 years old I often feel that time is slipping away from me and that I only have a few more years to dress like I want to. However, your blog has shown me that I can dress how I want to and look awesome forever. You look SO YOUNG. What is your secret?

I'm a fan of the stomach flu weight loss plan. It's worked wonders for me. I really recommend it. haha.

You look so cute in that dress, darlin!

You do look nice and svelte, too bad it was a by-product of illness. We once had a waiter drop an entire plate of food on my young daughter and not do anything about it. Crazy!

Oh no! The stomach flu is the work!

Ok, Brett! That does it! 76 or not, I HAVE to lose at least 20 pounds. I want to look like that just one more time before I die! :)
Happy Valentines Day!

Brett, your outfit is lovely.
Sounds like your meal out was a challenge. I hope you compensated your waiter according to his level of poor service.

Loving the bold necklace! Everything from the color of it to the style is so pretty.

Wow, that dress is insanely divine! I'm glad you're starting to feel better. Did you (accidently) drop the waiter's tip onto your dishes once you were finished with your meal? ;-P

That stomach bug must be a bad one. Hope you are feeling better! I loved that dress in Anthropologie, but it was so tight. Yours looks much more wearable! And that coat...yum!
