I had taken so many, I was intimidated to even look at them for awhile.
Here are just a few of my favorites that I thought I would share.
This was our first trip to the Grand Canyon and I will say that it is quite impressive.
NO picture, movie or description can do it justice.
It is one of those things you just have to take in for yourself to get the full beauty of it.
We did a mule ride while there which was fun and eye opening.
We discovered that you use all kinds of muscles your never even knew you had while riding
and
that mules are quite a marvel.
Who knew??
We did quite a lot of hiking while there.
We hiked rim trails and hiked down into the
canyon as well.
We discovered the hiking down was fun and easy, but the hiking up was pure torture!
The rule of thumb is for every hour you hike down,
plan on two hours to hike back up.
I hope you enjoyed my little recap and that you have been inspired to take a trip to the Grand Canyon as well.

I went there one when I was staying with a friend in AZ. Wow the south west is so different then Seattle or New York.

That top photo is especially gorgeous. I've only seen the Canyon from an airplane and that alone was pretty spectacular. Can't wait to go for real one of these years.
I've never been to the Grand Canyon! It looks so beautiful! I'd like to go. I used to ride horses when I was younger but I have never ridden a mule... now I'm wondering if it feels different!
LOvely pics :)
