Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Hello Thursday!
Hope your week is going well and that you have something fun to look forward to this weekend
Awkward:
  • The lady in front of me at the return line at Lowes.  She brought back an entire basket of bathroom fixtures and didn't know which ones were from Lowes.  They had to scan all 20 items in her basket.  Only 5 were from Lowes.  Of course this was the only return line open!
  • Son2 putting a bag of chips down on the hot stove top.  This makes for gooey, yet crispy chips at the same time.  Tip: if this happens to you, let the plastic completely cool and it will pull right off the stove top.
  • Ripping out old plants from deck planters and when I picked up the trash bag, the bottom fell out.
  • Falling asleep with wet nails.
  • Having the motor in your hand mixer completely go out right in the middle of making a cake.  Thank goodness for neighbors who lend out kitchen appliances.

 Awesome:
  • Son1 and husband going on a trip together to Canada.
  • Cutting 5 inches off of my hair yesterday.  Big Reveal is tomorrow on the blog.
  • Finding the perfect shade of peach/coral lipstick.  Neutrogena MoistureSmooth color stick in Fresh Papaya.
  • Easter dinner leftovers.  I am not a big eater of leftovers, but for some reason, holiday leftovers are always delicious.
  • When someone actually gets an obscure movie reference that you make in conversation.

I have been seeing polka dots and florals paired together all over the place.
I decided I needed to give this look a try.
No matter what you might think,
the girl at the Chick-fil-A drive thru loved my look
and asked me where I got every single thing I was wearing.
 LOL

Let's hear you awkward and awesome moments this week.

I can't wait to see the big reveal of your hair! No wonder the girl at Chik-fil-A wanted to know the details on your outfit, it is great! I love this combo of polka dots and florals.

Got your email about the pen pal swap. Thanks for joining :)

5 inches?! Wow, can't wait to see. I HATE being behind ridiculous customers at stores. I always feel so bad for the people who have to help them. Love the floral and polka dot combo!

Well, I think your outfit looks nice too. Love the polka dots and the necklace. Had to laugh over your Akward list. Good tip, the one about the crisp on a hot stove.
Leaving the bin bags in the oven when you put the oven on, is my akward thing. (Why are there bin bags in the oven you might ask? I have a small house...)

Lol! So funny about the lady at Lowes...apparently not the sharpest tool in the shed, right? ;)

My awkward moment was last week in Maui. I went to do an early morning kayak with my husband and when I took off my shorts, realized I forgot to put my bikini bottom on!

You know how much I love polka dots! This necklace is great and I like how it brings attention to the floral collar peeking out of your sweater.

Can't wait to see your hair!

Love your outfit! I don't have anything polka dotted. I better get with it! I also can tell your haircut looks great-very current. Now you have made me hungry for Chick-Fil-A and we don't have any close to us! Please eat a spicy chicken for me.
