Inspiration Monday

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.
It was cold and wet here, but still a good weekend.

Today's inspiration picture over on Two Birds is Jennifer Lawrence.
She is everywhere these days and seems to have a fun and elegant sense of style.
How could anyone forget that fabulous dress she wore to the Oscars?!
You know what I love about Inspiration Monday,
besides the fact that many times it makes me think outside MY box.
It also spurs me to wear things I had forgotten I had!
I actually bought this great skirt at a consignment store for $7
in January with the intention of shortening it.
Well, obviously that never happened and
I actually forgot I even had it.
Thanks to Two Birds,
not only did I finally wear it,
I realized I might not really want to shorten it.
I decided to wear my gold polka t instead of a plain gray,
just because it was more fun.
I actually have come to love this look and will be wearing my skirt much more often now.
A friend said she could totally see it at the beach!

Would you wear this look?
What do you think of the shear skirt trend?

That skirt is perfect! I love it long, you should keep it. And the tee is so cute with the gold polka dots.

that's a great skirt - I like that you kept it maxi! and the polka dotted tee is so much cuter than Jennifer's :)

Oh no, please don't shorten the skirt, it's lovely! It's a great look on you, Brett, and I love the sexy side split showing off the sheer fabric as well as a bit of leg! xxxx

Consignment shopping, that's your thrift shopping I suppose (don't have to search as hard for a treasure!) I love the length of the skirt, I would keep it. I am embarrassed to say I don't remember her Oscar dress (nor do I ever watch the oscars!)

Loving all these sheer maxi skirts! They're not my style but they look great on everyone else. Yours is so fun with the polka dot tee.

Cute! I haven't purchased a maxi dress yet. Guess I was wrong when I thought it was a one season fad!
