Inspiration Monday

Did you get a wet and soggy weekend like I did?
It was actually kind of nice to hang out with a book and listen to the rain.

Our inspiration today from Two Birds is Gwen Stefani.  Now, I knew I could never be as cool as her no matter how  hard  I might try!
This look is so far out of my usual wheelhouse that I felt kind of weird all day.
I just don't have the rock n' roll gene in my styling DNA I guess.
I have completely lost my black jeans,
so I pulled out these trousers
and
they just don't work as far as I am concerned.
Time to go black jean shopping I think.
I wore this the day I broke my toe,
I guess I should never have taken off these pretty red heels.
I will count this outfit as an experiment gone awry!
 Better luck next time right?!

Is this something you would wear?
Are you a fan of heels and cropped pants?

tshirt-GAP
pants/earrings-Old Navy
jacket-Levi's
shoes-Nine West
sunglasses-Peepers
necklace-F21

I actually really like this look! The red heels are great. It's kind of fun to step outside your comfort zone a little though right?

Awe, don't be too hard on yourself! I think you look great! And even though I think every wardrobe needs some great black jeans, the pants you have on here work just as well with this look & I loooove the heels!

I actually think you look really cool, though maybe black jeans would go best with this look. I love the accessories you did here.

Hope the toe's doing a bit better!

I really like this outfit on you, Brett! I like that you stuck pretty close to Gwen's look, down to the white belt. I'm on the hunt for a great pair of black jeans, too! :)

I adore this look. Fabulous. Don't say you are never going to wear it anymore. It looks so cool on you. Although you say these are old trousers, they are great rolled up. And the shoes are COOL.
