A Little Tulle, Plaid and Leopard To Get The Party Started

This past weekend, husband and I attended an engagement party.
The invite said casual, but what does that even mean exactly these days??

I can tell you that the looks went from everything to leggings as pants to adorable maxi dresses and super cute to not so cute shorts ensembles.
I decided to pull out my tulle maxi
and see what I could come up with.
I went for a little pattern mixing and lots of pearls.
You can never go wrong with pearls, plaid or leopard,
so why not combine all three.
I thought the outfit was perfect for the party.
  Fun, flirty and unexpected.

Is this a look you would wear?
What is your opinion on tulle skirts?

Oh, this is an adorable combination! I have a black maxi skirt that it similar to this, and I've been dying to wear it into the fall season. Never thought about pairing it with a plaid shirt!

People are always super casual these days - it's like no one can be bothered, no matter the occasion!
But I think you hit a nice note between casual, formal, and fashion blogger ;)

PS: I always love seeing your shoes and boots. Any idea how many pairs you have in total? I'm guessing it's a double or triple digit number. ;<) I love shoes too.

Funny, I was just pondering the meaning of "casual" in regards to an invitation!
