Hope it was a good weekend for all.
This week Kerry Washington is our inspiration from Two Birds.
I will admit that I watched season 1 of Scandal, but never made it any further due to DVR technical difficulties.
I knew re-creating Kerry's outfit was not going to happen,
so I just went with
pattern mixing in the same color palette.
Kerry kept her look super simple, so I did as well.
It's best to do that with this kind of bold pattern mixing.
I think I caught the essence of Kerry's look here.
Honestly, I am not sure too many people could even get away with what Kerry is wearing.

When I saw this as the inspiration, I couldn't come up with anything for the life of me. I think you pulled it off really well. Your colors are beautiful together. If I had Kerry's exact dress I would wear it! It probably costs more than my house, ha ha!

I haven't seen Scandal either! I need to pick a new show to catch up on now that I've done Breaking Bad.
I love Scandal and am so happy it's back on! I love this recreation and the pattern mixing it same colors is divine!

I actually really love this. The colors work so well together and the larger pattern looks great with the smaller one.
i'd say you got it pretty darn close! that skirt is a near match. you also got the vibe of the paisley in the top too. :)
I think you did a great job. Combining two such different patterns is not easy. But you are right. It looks good.
