Awkward and Awesome Friday

How is everyone doing today?
Anyone dealing with a candy hangover this morning?
That would be considered awkward!

 Awkward:
  • Trying to find Halloween and fall items the week of Halloween and all that is in the stores are Christmas decorations.  That's just wrong!
  • Trying to find the open window on your computer where voices are coming from and realizing they are not coming from the computer.  You actually butt dialed someone and the voices are coming from your phone.
  • Finding the dog hiding under the bed where he has stockpiled a stash of candy.  Thank goodness none of it had been eaten.
  • Working out on the deck on a windy day and getting bombed by acorns every few seconds.  Those suckers can hurt.
  • Squirrel completely digging up my mums to retrieve his nuts he had stored in the flowerpot.
 Awesome:
  • My new wireless speakers for my iPhone.
  • The adorable trick or treaters last night.  Such creative costumes in our neighborhood.
  • Son2 coming home today to celebrate son1's birthday this weekend.
  • Left over Halloween candy.
  • Breaking out the snugly winter pajamas.

I love to find ways to put casual and not so casual items together.
The blazer over the hoodie is a perfect example.
I think this is a look anyone can pull off.
You can dress it up as much as you want with accessories
or you can keep it more casual.

Let's hear about your awkward and awesome moments in the comments.

Another great combo! I love the idea of a sweatshirt under a blazer. It's got a nice cool vibe.

Awkward - our Halloween was cancelled last night due to rain and heavy winds. We will be trick or treating on Nov 2!

I really like the look of a blazer over a hoodie, and the fact that you blazer has a pattern kicks up the coolness factor for sure!

My awkward moments of the week? Having my neighbor essentially assign me to take her son trick or treating with my own kids, and my MIL's bossy text commanding me to send her pictures of my kids in costumes. (Didn't do it - maybe if she'd asked nicely?)

Ha the image of a squirrel digging up just to find his stash sounds adorable - but I can imagine it probably wasn't that great haha!

Happy halloween :)

My kids had a total candy hangover on Friday morning. I must say these jeans fit you really well. That plaid blazer is perfection!

brett, You nailed this outfit! I love it! I agree, too about the adorable trick or treater- they make my week!
Sorry about the acorn storms, BUT you do look great, so the workouts are paying off. Now if it can just rain M&M"s !

I love your glasses and the boots!

I'm so glad your dog hadn't eaten any of the candy, that could have been a real problem. :<(
