Awkward and Awesome Friday

Are you still freezing?
I know we are, but lucky for us there is nothing on the ground to impede our travel on the roads.
That always sets one up for some awkwardness!
Awkward:
  • When everyone flocks to the grocery store because bad weather has been forecast, but you are just there because there is NO food in your house.
  • Have you ever tried to get a candle through airport security?  My advice...just don't even try.
  • When you make a comment/statement that you know you will never-ever live down!
  • Getting trapped in the bathroom stall at the airport because your suitcase got wedged between you and the door.
  • Having to sit next to the dude coughing up a lung while you get your inspection sticker.(If I get sick, I will hunt him down!!)

Awesome:
  • Birthday Gifts and Cards.  I do love a good birthday card.
  • Getting home from my trip and husband having my favorite bakery birthday cake waiting for me.
  • Getting to see the beach and the ocean even though it was like the Arctic Tundra.
  • When it is so cold outside that you don't need to bring your drinks in from the garage to refrigerate them.
  • Cleaning out and organizing my make-up and other beauty products. (well, the cleaning out part wasn't awesome, but the result sure is)

I am having a thing for navy right now.
I don't even know where it came from.
This skirt is one of my favorites and
I love it paired with the mustard.
The pockets on this blouse are doing awkward things to the girls, never noticed that before.

Let's hear your awkward or awesome moments of the week in the comments.

This was cracking me up. I don't live a day without an awkward moment or two.

Love the navy and mustard. I'm never able to keep a longer cardigan from looking frumpy with a dress or skirt. Yours is perfect.

You look awesome as always!

Something awkward, but pretty hilarious, that happened to me this weekend was actually a conversation with my dad.

We were talking about all the bad food my college used to serve, and I mentioned how we once had fish and chips because the kitchen had leftover halibut. My dad then said, "They probably just did it for the 'halibut.'" He and my mom just burst out laughing but it took me FOREVER to get it. When I did, I just knew I had to share it with someone.

Navy & mustard are a fave color combo of mine, and you wear it well!!! I'm a germaphobe--so the guy coughing his lung up while sitting next to you sent me into instant shivers. ;) Stay warm, Brett! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

Love the navy and mustard combo -- especially love the skirt! I just bought a pair of shooties just like these. I wasn't sure about them but now I have another idea of what to pair them with :)

I love this, you look fantastic. I am loving navy lately myself...Heading to Waterman's for lunch today with girlfriends, one who moved to FL last month... bet she's regretting visiting on this craaazzzy cold weekend!!!! Will only be looking at the beach from the windows...

The mustard paired with navy is such a beautiful colour combination and I love that sassy skirt! Hahah it's so cold here, we just throw things out in the snow for a few minutes to act as a refrigerator!
