Awkward and Awesome Friday

Happy Friday Ya'll!
I hope your weekend is full of fun and awesomeness.
Awkward:
  • We supposedly had an earthquake here last Friday night.  I completely missed it.
  • People of a certain age should not be allowed to use self check out lines.
  • Forgetting where you parked in a multistory parking garage.
  • Still trying to get glitter out of your car that has been there since Christmas.
  • Going to a restaurant for lunch and when you walk in they tell you they have stopped serving lunch.
Awesome:
  • Learning what the buttons on your camera actually do.
  • Seeing a bunch of girl scouts set up a "drive-thru" in the parking lot to sell their cookies.
  • Unexpected snail mail!
  • Sitting next to a young girl getting her very first pedicure.
  • Getting new clothes from a friend cleaning out her daughter's room.
If you haven't heard yet, pastels are big for spring.
For me the pastels have to be the absolute right shade
or I will look totally washed out.
 I do love the soft,
feminine looks you can create with pastels though.

Let's hear about your awkward and awesome in the comments.

Oh my gosh, Brett. That earthquake was crazy! It rocked my headboard and bed. I felt like I was in The Exorcist! I'll let you know if I start floating next...

You look fab in those pastel pants and the leopard makes the entire outfit pop.

Happy Awesome weekend!

You look great in these pastel shades. Earthquakes are scary. I was in a 6.2 in Alaska as a kid. Never forgot it or the earthquake drills in school.

I am a fan of pastels, and I really love your mint jeans - especially with leopard!

Oh wowsa, what a sexy sweater, you look so good Brett. Love your blue nails too. I miss nail polish, gave it up a while ago. It adds a nice pop of color too!

Happy Weekend to you! ;-)

Love that outfit on you! Your hair looks very pretty too.

Those shoes are so much fun! I have them too and wear them all the time. Almost always get a compliment on them.

I agree, pastels can be really tough! If they're just off a little bit then your skin can look really blah.

My favorite part of this outfit is the shoes-- you know how much I love leopard!

Yes, pastels are tricky colours for a lot of us, I think. You're wearing them beautifully here, Brett, love the minty shade of the trousers and the leopard shoes add some pzazz! xxx

Brett, I love you in these fresh pastels, and I have seen them everywhere. Your choices are excellent. as for the awkwards, losing my cot in a shopping center lot, is something I used to do...
