Awkward and Awesome Friday

I hope your week has been quite awesome with relatively little awkwardness!

Awkward:

• When you start the day with major static cling and it just gets worse as the day goes on no matter how you try to get rid of it.
• Looking for a birthday card in Target and coming across one that had already been written in.
• Thinking you are cooking your food at the proper temperature and then realize you cooked it 100 degrees higher than it should have been.  Dry meat anyone???
• Advertisement for some Tory Birch flip flops:  Each flip flop is the same size, they are $20 each.  
• Just finishing painting your nails when you look down and see your toenail polish has chipped.

 

 Awesome:

• Finding a pair of pants you began to dream that you bought when sorting out the shorts drawer.
• Planning for an upcoming girls weekend.
• Finding the perfect summer handbag.
• Naps when you are sick.
• Getting a pair of Jack Rogers sandals for a ridiculously good deal thanks to Neiman Marcus Last Call and Living Social.

For today's look I just stuck with the 

color palette and crystal jewelry. 

 I did step out of the box and add some wedge heels. 

 You can't wear flats all the time right?!
