Loose Interpretation

Today's look for the Pinned It, Spinned It challenge was just that.
Challenging.
First I couldn't decide if it was a dress or two pieces.
Was the skirt gray or blue.
What the heck did I even own to try and somehow interpret this look?
Well, I decided the skirt was gray and that it probably was a dress.
I landed on my gray maxi and white eyelet shirt
to give this look a twist.
I added the green shoes and some green/blue accessories
 to finish off the look.
Yes, I am pretty far off the mark of the original look,
but I did throw in many elements of it.
I actually wore this over the weekend
 when the weather was cooperating:
sunny and warm.
I actually like how the look turned out
and I would probably have never thought
of this look without the inspiration.

What would you have done for the inspiration look?

maxi dress-Loft
eyelet shirt-Old Navy
flats-Isaac Mizrahi for Target (very old)
necklace-gifted
bracelet-Stein Mart?

Yes, I thought the inspiration photo was a dress. I do like your interpretation, Brett, though it's very different. The shirt looks really cute tied like that! xxx

Brett, I agree this was not a version of this outfit, but it did serve as a great inspiration because your outfit turned out beautfully , much more ear ale and versatile than the original , and I LOVE the green shoes!
She should try to copy you!

I like that you take inspiration photos and totally make them yours. I love the Maxi Skirt and its ease. The button-up knotted over it adds to the ease and chic comfort. =)
