You Never Know Where You Will Find Inspiration

A shout out to Susi and her lovely pre-Christmas shopping party.  If you live in the Charlotte area,I am sure you have heard of
Sleepy Poet Antiques. Susi has a booth inside called Jazzy Poet.  She held a little pre-view for friends last night to check out her stuff early. Myself, I purchased some adorable candlesticks.

No, I didn't find my outfit inspiration there, but on one of those cake shows. As I said when I was sick, there really isn't much on TV during the day, so I found myself watching many things I wouldn't ordinarily watch.  I can't even remember the name of this particular cake show.  Now I wish I could sound brilliant and say my inspiration came from a cake I saw, but it was from what one of the bakers was wearing.  She had on an adorable pink sweater over a black leopard print t-shirt.  It was just too cute.  I have been thinking about her outfit all week and decided to see what my closet held that could possibly emulate her adorable outfit.  Here is what I came up with:
Honestly, her outfit was way cuter (it was that pink sweater), but this is what I had in my closet. I do like the look of the pink with the black leopard and know it can be tricky to pull off at my age.  I don't think this looks too Hannah Montana though.
My dilemma this morning was what earring to pair with this.  I originally had picked out some larger chandelier like pink and gold earrings.  I thought it was just too overwhelming with the big turtle neck that the scarf made.  I opted instead for pink studs.
I am certain that my boots here are out of date with the squared toe,but they are so comfortable and I got them for $15 at Marshall's a couple of years ago in the summer.  Tell me what your opinion is on the squared toed boot.  Put them away until they come back in style or wear them anyway?
