Feeling like a little Christmas Elf

Boy, did I get a lot done yesterday!  Went to physical therapy, did a little Christmas shopping, wrapped presents, finished putting away things from Saturdays party, starting to get things ready for the party this Saturday, I made Christmas cookies and worked on our family Christmas letter.  All on top of telling my sick kid about 100 times, that he HAS to go to school tomorrow!

So, what does a busy little elf wear on a day like this?
A little lace, a little velvet and a little bling.

I have to admit that I am a wimp!
It was too cold yesterday morning to take pictures outside, so we get the inside fireplace picture.  I know, original huh?!

Yes, I hand made those stockings. Did all the cross-stitching myself.  That was before kids, except for son2.  I didn't think I would ever get his done.

Weird thing about the clothes I am wearing.  They all came from Ann Taylor Loft, but not one piece was bought in the same year.  Kind of freaky.

The velvet shirt is trimmed in lace and the sweater has bling buttons.

Wanted to thank everyone for their help on the shoe situation.  I think I solved the problem.  I will let you know on Sunday, if my solution worked.
Best comment about the shoes came from Deborah over on
"Sometimes certain shoes are what I call "drop me off at the door" shoes. Not for walking about, but for sitting and looking fabulous"

I think Anne Taylor is probably my favorite brand! I was already admiring the stockings hanging on the fireplace before you revealed that you made them. Beautiful.

Beautiful! I really like the pants. I'm in awe that you made the Christmas stockings yourself...and it sounds like you're a very crafty person in general! I remember being sick when I was younger. I BEGGED my mom to let me stay home just one more day, even when I was more than recovered and definitely able to go. And if she obliged, that one more day turned into another one more day, and so on. I stayed at home for weeks at a time sometimes! Weird, because now I have extremely good attendance (I think I missed one college class this entire year because I was quite sick, and I rarely miss a day of work!).

Have a great weekend!

I love that sweater! It's a gorgeous color. And I can't believe you made those stockings yourself! They look great!! My aunt taught me to cross-stitch when I was younger but I just don't seem to be able to find the time for it these days.
