First off, let me address all the emails and comments about the movie Burlesque. I thought I'd do a quick movie review for you.
This is strictly my opinion and I will be up front and say that thanks to my grandmother, I grew up with Cher, so I do like her.
My two cents... the story was very predictable and I am sure you or I could have written the script in the 6th grade. Having said that... I thought the dance/song numbers were visually appealing. The costumes were fabulous. Every man in the movie was gorgeous and the women weren't shabby either. Christina's voice is amazing! I was surprised at how well Cher's voice has held up over time as well. Cher has a solo in the middle of the movie that is really touching.
I liked that the movie was humorous and Cher can play cheeky with the best of them. As far as the movie being raunchy, I have seen worse on Dancing With The Stars.
I would give it 3 stars out of 4, with the disclaimer that you need to enjoy dancing, music, hot men and fantasy story lines.
As I was getting dressed this morning I kept thinking about the costumes I liked best in the movie. There was a feathered skirt and a costume made entirely of strings of pearls. I wanted to wear feathers and pearls today. Since all I own in that category is a feathered evening bag and some strings of pearls, I didn't think I would get very far out the door dressed in only those items.
SOOOO, back to sequins!
Just subtle sequins on a cardi though.
When I dressed this morning this is not entirely what I looked like when I left the house. I had on these fabulous cable knit cream tights that were perfect with the sweater.
I will tell you that I have had these tights for awhile and didn't realize the elastic in the waistband was SHOT! By the time I left PT this morning the waist was literally lower than my hips. That is how I came to be dressed mostly in brown once again today.
Sorry for the squinty eyes today. It was pretty windy and I had a hard time keeping my eyes open.

Thanks for the movie review! I think I will go now and check it out. While I am really disappointed you didn't wear pearls and feathers...this outfit is great and you look so good in it. I like the sweater, earrings, and boots the best. Don't you just hate it when there is a stocking malfunction!
Brett-thanks for the review. I may go see this after all. I like your sweater and it would have been really cool with little flecks of snow in the hair.
I've been there and done that with the worn out elastic!
Thanks for posting your thoughts on the movie. I'm really not that interested in seeing it, but I'm sure I'll end up watching it eventually when it comes out on DVD. The costumes sound very fascinating!
Love your outfit, as always. Your accessories go so well. My tights always seem to rip before that could ever happen to the elastic...what a bummer, though. I wish tights weren't so flimsy in general!
I want to see the movie. I mean, it's Cher and Christina and Stanley Tucci. What's not to like?
This outfit is awesome. I may have to do something similar to this....
I love those boots, and they look great with the other browns.
